Hi!i've been thinking about making dreads and i have a couple of questions...

1.My hair is kinda short, 10 cm in the front and the back, and 20 cm the rest. What do you think about natural extensions? I'm looking for some suggestions on if i should try to put some or not.
    2. If i don't use extensions, how long will my dreads be if i use backcomb?(my hair is just a little curly)
3.How do i make sure mould doesen't appear in my dreads? A friend had to cut off his dreads because they started smelling.(yuck)

    Thanks.

    1) You might want to wait for your hair to get a little longer, or stop combing and brushing and use a reasdue free shampoo and go natural. that way they will kinda grow in.
2)You can't use hair extensions for dreads, it wont work.

    3) Don't use wax.

    My 2 centz

    1) its possible to start dreads with your length of hair, but its not easy. i would grow it a little more. use extensions if you want i guess but then you wont have dreads, just fake hair.
    2) your hair will probably be shorter, hard to say how much.
3)all you need to do to avoid mold is make sure your dreads dry out completely between washings. this means using no wax, or at least very little.

I'd wait for at least 6 months if you want to backcomb. You can't make thick locks with short hair, if you want thick ones, you may want to wait longer. Thin locks are easier.
