Beach erections

I've had erections at time on nude beaches. I think it is natural and I didn't here anyone complain, but then again I didn't strut it.

Now getting an erection in a room full of clothed artists is totally embarassing. No place to hide...

 

Interesting thread. I've always enjoyed being nude in private around my house and yard, but have avoided nude beaches for fear of the 'wood'.

Well I think there should not be a problem provided that the males are on a place which is for the nudists only. Erection is one of the most natural things that can happen to them and this should be accepted by all. For instance we dont have any such facilities in our locales but provided I got a chance to visit such an area I would never be able to control my erection and yes I admit seeing the other nudes would have induced it. But then thats why we are there isnt it?

 

I'm a new member too, and having just read the entire thread, I don't have much to add except for that I think the fellow who suggested that the guy always have a guitar with him and be ready to pick it up and play it, thus literally concealing the erection, is good advice. As a musician, I can also testify that when I'm playing music, the draw of the music is usually more powerfully than the draw of whatever influence (usually the sight or thought of a beautiful woman) had brought on the erection in the first place. Very interesting thread.

 

oh yes. and your boner can also be useful to support the guitar in the case that your instrument lacks the shoulder belt :lol:

We are a nudist family, me 45 my wife 42 and three girls 15 13 and 10. I get erections around the house and on beaches and it shouldnt be seen as a problem even in front of children as it is only natural. Just carry on I say

 

We are nudists, and my son and husband occasionally get erections walking around the house-it is completely normal and beautiful for them to be obviously aroused sometimes. In fact, I am aroused sometimes when we are nude, too, but no one can see my clitoral erection-so, whay should men be discriminated against just because we can actually see that they're aroused so obviously? Just live and let live.

If it were socially acceptable for men to get erections when at a nude beach, then the mechanisms in their brains that put the brakes on having an erection wouldn't go into gear and they'd be more inclined to have erections.

Imagine if you're a guy, you go to a beach and all the other guys don't have erections. Your brain is told that it's not acceptable to have an erection. And you likely don't have one.

Now imagine if you're a guy, you go to a nude beach and virtually every guy there has an erection. Your brain is going to tell your body that it's OK to have an erection.

 

um, I wonder if the last poster is a guy? It doesn't always work like that.

in high school during gym or track practice...trust me i did not want a erection in those short shorts...but sure as hell as ice is cold i poped wood

 

Yeah, anyone who has a penis or has been around them long enough knows that erections can happen in random, non-erotic settings. In fact erections are one of those things that if you worry about getting one you probably will get one. Best bet in a nudist setting is to not think or worry about getting one. If it happens ignore it and it will go away faster then if attention is paid to it.

 

Whenever Ive been somewhere nudism was accepted Ive never had an erection, maybe because I'm still a bit self conscious and not checking out the ladies from a sexual aspect. On the beach I guess you can just roll over and tan the backside for awhile I think an aroused girl would be harder to spot.

 

I am a little weirded out by people talking about having erections around their family, although I don't think it is wrong. Not that I am implying incest, it is just that the family I grew up in was pretty uptight. I never discussed sex with my parents and the idea of them sharing their sexuality with me, especially my father, grosses me out. I am glad he kept it under wraps.

That said, the mental images several of you have provided of all of these young guys walking around with erections, gets me a bit hot. I visit southern cal often, perhaps I outta check it out. Too bad these guys are just having them "randomly" as many of you claim, because if it was due to sexual arousal, I might not be able to stop myself from helping to provide some satisfaction...

I just started reading up on naturism/nudism and I find it kind of weird that guys getting erections is such a no-no. I mean, the whole point is to treat the human body as something natural and not shameful, but erections are bad and shameful. It seems sort of hypocritical. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see that big of a difference between looking at a hard dick vs a soft one. If I were at a nude beach, I certainly wouldn't care if guys wanted to walk around with hard-ons.

 

As a long time nudist and user of a nude beach in Florida of all places, let me say that is the bottom-line observation on this subject.

Erections are natural - I've written about that in one of my published Nude Attitude articles.

However, erections should not be flaunted. Erections like sex is natural but neither have a place in a nudist venue. If you get an erection, you cover it or lay on your stomach until it subsides.

This is not entirely due to the people on the nude beach but as Barefoot Matthew touched on, it is due to the threat from the Puritanical minds that look for nothing more than an excuse such as "Lewd & Lascivious" to shut down our nude beach.

So, lets separate nudism from swinging. If you want to flaunt an erection and have your G/F kiss it, go to a club (we have them here too) or to someone's swinging pool party, but don't take that kind of behavior to a public nude beach or you will be run off.

Our beach has monitors patrolling from the nudist club and will report any sexual play to the lifeguards who call the police. These nudists are not prudes, they are protecting their hard faught and tenuous victory over puritanism here in Miami-Dade county.

 

Heh, heh. All erections are not erotic, many more than thought are spontaneous. But all are a natural body expression of manhood. Ashamed of you own erection? Become a girl. Ashamed of a man's erection? Get thee to a convent! What a silly discussion, although I hope it convinces the original poster that it is no big deal. Save the erotic for the bedroom or back seat!
