Oh yeah, esp. when the game show starts going on in her living room and shit, and everything goes all crazy...

I really want to watch it now. Fucking awesome movie. I'm gonna go watch it.

^ yeah thats exactly how it was wuith me and trainspotting, i still hate that film. i found the show part ridiculous, old people do get obsessed with tv - but when she goes insane and gets shock treatment its just fucked. also i did feel very bad for that extremely nice girl that went off to give pleasure for heroin - thats fucked.

wow - that's an intense movie. You only need to see it once. I haven't seen train spotting, but another movie that you only need to see once, but is worth experiencing is audition

No Country For Old Men a heroin film? what are you talking about?

Requiem wasn't that good of a movie.

It had some nice cinematography and the score wasn't bad... but other than that, it just seemed like a completely exaggerated anti-heroin propaganda film with a token black guy.
It's all shock value... which is very weak cinematography.

Watching all of the movies listed when I was younger just made me want to do heroin and any other opiate soooo badly. Like that scene where he overdoses in Trainspotting and he just sinks into the carpet... even though he was dying it looked so appealing to just melt into the ground like that.

...and then "Perfect Day" by God himself starts playing, and all you can think about is how amazing heroin must be.

I'm a tad too smart to do heroin now... but I sure am glad that there wasn't any around when I was 16.

Haha I appreciate how you referred to Lou as God. But I lost a bit of respect for the man though when I met him a few years back and learned he was on the Atkins diet. He was just eating a huge hamburger patty, like almost the size of his face, with no bun.
But.. meh. He did make some fantastic tunes though, regardless of his diet choices.

Yeah. I don't care much about anything Lou does other than his rockstar activities.

I actually ignore everything else he does. Including several of his shitty albums.

Lou will always be a young, sexy, junky-skinny rockstar in my head.

    Agreed. I'd tap that.

Well, more like I'd tap that 30 years ago...

I loooooove Requiem for a dream, its such a powerful film. Anyone who watches it this film will make them depressed. Thats when you know a film is good when it makes your moods change.

I beg to differ. that kind of thinking is the reason Titanic was in theatres for nearly a year.

Yeah. That's just simulated emotion, it sells tickets but isn't what makes a movie good.

What makes a movie good in my opinion...genuine actors, amazing screenplay, fantastic music. Its everything tying together.
