I play hockey as well, and put it this way. Everyone is worried about it at first but you won't unless you are turned on by guys. And just dont think about it, just talk to the guys in there take a shower and leave. Honestly i doubt anyone would pop one but if you feel one coming on, get the fuck out.
It's much the same as the very first time you visit a nudist beach / resort. You can tell all the first timers as they're the ones staying closest to the water, ready for a quick escape. However, as you soon discover, when everyone else around you is also naked everything feels so natural that sexuality is no longer an issue.
All of us older guys are used to showering with other guys naked, and I have never noticed a guy get a hardon in the shower, and I never have (except alone with my girlfriend). Don't worry about it, and take that shower. You will smell better afterwards.
straight up just dont look at there dongs, and hope they dont look at yours......and as someone already said, if they inquire about your hard on ask why they were even looking.....
