    Haha :)

I could easily spend thousands at Roo, and then sell the drugs back home for lots and lots of money.

But... I'm no drug dealer. I've disliked every drug dealer I've ever met. You have to be a special kind of person to deal drugs... I ain't that kind.

But... I could easily just go and spend a good 100-200 on some danky dank and massive amounts of opium.

Yea I hear that! I've more than toned down on drug usage in the past 2 seasons (except for psychedelics, of course) but if I was going somewhere that opium was to be found? pppffff you better believe Im bringing a life savings (that I'd have to rob from someone else)

The price may be high for a concert.....but look at how many bands are playing. Normaly you would expect to pay 20 bucks or so, to see 3 bands. Festival-wise, I'm sure you can find a more "groovy" shindig, but concert-wise it's a lot of bang for the buck.

I dunno, I've read a lot of pages that say all the stuff about Zepplin is inaccurate.

And, frankly, I hope it is. I'm don't hate Zepplin, but a big part of their fanbase bugs the shit out of me. The highschool kids who pick up the shirts and backpacks at the mall, etc. After they go and see the Zepplin show, they won't know what the hell to do with themselves. :D

    Roo IS getting reeeeally commercial.

However, I'm sure tons of other great bands are playing too, and anyone who hasn't been and thinks 200 is a lot to pay. :D No, no. It's SOOOO worth it. I can honestly say Roo has been one of theee best experiences of my entire life.

Its funny cause everytime someone hears the word "Bonnaroo" all I hear is a bunch of too-cool hipster kids going, "oh man bonnaroo is just so commercial, its like mtv. blah blah blah indie stuff rulez!" I am deciding whether or not to go this year based on the bands that play, not the fact that yeah...people make money off of it. Other fests are pretty expensive too (the big ones), and the smaller ones just don't have the bigger bands.

The bands are amazing. Always. Even if they are the more "commercial" ones ie. The Police. But... It's just that when the more commercial bands start appearing on lineups (and they *are* getting more commercial. you can't deny that), the crowd totally changes. It's more that than anything else, as far as I'm concerned.

    too-cool hipster kids. :D hahaah

I was at Bonnaroo and there was no chance of me seeing them. The youtube video was more than I got. If you want to see a big band up close, you are going to have to sit at that particular stage for AWHILE, which means you are going to miss out on other bands you want to see. Plus, a lot of the good bands play at the same time, and the crowds are still terrible. I swallowed more dust than anything.

Or how about the walk to Centeroo? Yeah, it was a half hour in the light when I knew where I was going. Everytime I left at night, it took me TWICE as long, because I didnt know where the fuck I was going and neither did anybody working there.

Dont want to make the trip back to camp but get hungry and thirsty? Well, plan on paying $10 for a SIMPLE meal such as a slice of pizza. Beer is expensive and so is water.

Lets talk about camp. They park you so close together, you have to scramble to put up your tent and shade before your neighbor gets it.
There is no way you would be able to leave either, if there was an emergency.

And lets talk about the bathrooms. These are the nastiest things EVER EVER EVER! I dare you to find one without shit all over the walls!
With all the money they are charging, you think they could provide at least somewhat clean shitters----NOPE!

Bottom line, Bonnaroo sucks and I dont care if Jerry came back from the grave, I wouldnt ever go back.

told ya so,,.. err,, well i didnt think it was logical..

i heard a interview on a chattanooga radio station the day the band list was released with the promoter of bonnaroo ,he said in no uncertain terms that there had NEVER been ANY discussions about having zeppelin at bonnaroo..

he was like "we almost broke the bank with police last year,we couldnt possibly have gotten led zeppelin here with our budget"...
