i just got an account with itunes. i'm happy for the convenience (just got a rasputina album i had a while ago that i lost....well, i didnt lose it so much as it was in a known place but not retrievable) but i'm afraid this kind of thing may just ruin my life...it could get very expensive very fast. i've got a little while left to complete the download for the season finale of season 3 of it's always sunny in philadelphia the album i downloaded i bought right after it came out, and got the limited edition 2 disc bonus set....i still have the case and the second disc (which i dont believe they make anymore) but just needed to replace the first disc....now i can burn a new copy and have both, without paying as much as i would for a whole new disc and cover art and everything....pretty happy about that.... but i need to keep this in check and make sure not to download too much!
i don't know, over the past couple years i've tried a few of those peer to peer things and so far they're all just mostly porn. everything else is either nonexistant, or it wont let me download it
There are alot of torrent sites you could use like mininova or piratebay, those pretty much work for me.
If you want album downloads try albumhunt.com. Its got alot of fucking ads but if you really need an album look no where else.
i love itunes.. i use it for everything i used to buy songs and albums off of it, and now it says my credit card is declined, which is good, because i know it would get way to expensive, like you said
ive been using limewire for years, not viruses nothing. just know howmuch space a file takes before DL, a 3min song is around 5mb, not 100k or 200mb.
i've been using limewire for awhile too.. i'm starting to really hate it.. most of the songs i try to download, won't. i need to find another program like limewire that actually works
it works fine most times, but every time i find a song i REALLY like.. or i really need to download, it won't download, and it pisses me off so bad
Wait. Pay for music? Even worse... Pay Steve Jobs for music? Fuck no man. Download soulseek... I've been using that program for YEARS, and I have never gotten a virus. Plus, it has an amazing amount of rare music and an awesome member-base. It practically has no porn in it either... it's for people who actually love music.
I just got soulseek but i cant get my songs to download right, im not really sure on how to use soulseek properly.
i use itunes for albums i cant find at stores(its how i finally got music from the film moore) or if i don't have enough to buy music from stores. i refuse to use any more peer to peer stuff cause limewire virus's destroyed my old computer and i barely saved this one from bearshare virus's.
it took maybe a month for me to realise limewire wasnt just for porn but so much of it is shit, torrents and pics are better
Nesta you live right by a great library system use it, theres no need to pay for music. Me and my dad get everything from there and make copies. All your missing is a jeweled case and cd artwork (who really needs that anyways), sometimes if your looking for older stuff it could be a bit scratched up and you might have to reserve your items so it might take a little bit but those are the only downsides that i can think of atm.
I've always used limewire too. It's free, and it works better than anything else I've tried. But I'm sure itunes is better, but I hate paying for online services. Even though I could get caught and have to pay a hefty fine for using limewire to download copyrighted material.
oops I also think that you have to have thousands of files though right? I usually keep around 100+ and delete songs as I get sick of them.
I use to use limewire until one day I tried downloading a music video that went horribly wrong. My mom was in the room when i opened it...and lets just say it contained heavy amounts of bestiality. Ever since then I just use utorrent to download whole cd's at once instead of song by song.
