What do you think of the Motor City Madman?
He is a gun-toting Repub with a house full of animal carcasses, but he's also fairly humorous and a great musician.
Does "Stranglehold" cancel out "BloodTrails II: The Truth about Bowhunting"?

You should check him out, he's a straaaaaange bird.

He's the type you really feel you should dislike, yet somehow just can't.
And you have to respect that at least his opinions are out there and up front.

I love his music as much as I hate his politics, in other words- a lot.

    Nugent's an asshole.

There was an alternative station locally here that used to have a promo commercial that went something like this:

Voice #1: "Hey dad, who is Ted Nugent?"
Voice #2: "He was a 70s rock guitarist who turned into a rightwing extremist."
Voice #3: "Nintety-Seven Three FM. Where you'll NEVER hear Ted Nugent."

Henry Rollins told a funny story of meeting Ted Nugent. Nugent apparently had no idea who Rollins was, and didn't care, even after Rollins tried to make a polite and flattering introduction.

I wonder if Nugent still goes "nunning"...

Yeah, I can't stand the guy's politics but I do respect a lot of things about him:

    1. He gave me WAY more than my money's worth when I saw him live. Go see him right now if you haven't before! He was all over the stage, what a maniac- just wow!

    2. He 'talks the talk and walks the walk' as crummyrummy points out.

    3. He is active in the make-a-wish foundation and takes kids who are terminally ill hunting with him.

In America, folks on all sides need to respect each other even if we disagree. Of course there are a lot of negative things about him too. But overall, I like Uncle Ted, he is a great rock-n-roller!

he sucks at music, has bad style, and is an asshole as well. I don't think he is the spawn of satan, too stupid to fit that profile

the Damn yankees have to be one of the worst bands ever to be molested by their own moms

I liked his 70's musical output although there's a certain sameness to it all.
His best stuff had interesting licks and riffs. Damn Yankees were horrible.
I can't think of anything else he's done since the 70s really.
His politics and beliefs don't interest me much. I respect his right to hold those beliefs.. That's about it.
I don't think he has much influence on people in their 40s and 50s who were his big fans in the 70s, because I would hope they're own beliefs and values were formed long ago.
I think people under 30 would take what he preaches with a grain of salt..

His reality show is the only reality show that I ever watched. It got canceled because he hit some guy with an SUV.
