If anyone went to London for the New Year's celebrations this year you will have noticed many women dressed up with their high heels and such, standing on the river embankment for hours on end like this. There were roughly half a million people there at the time, and by the time people started to leave there were an amazing number of women braving the streets of London barefoot.
