Who's heard of him? I guess people would consider him alternative. He has an odd plan to make a CD about every one of the fifty states. He is wonderful. I'd definitely suggest you listen to him. I plan on listening to him when I trip for my first time this Thursday, I can't imagine how good it will be.
Sufjan is pretty awesome. I'm not a big fan of the Christian themes in Seven Swan, but... it's still awesome.
