for those who have gmail, watch out, new scam already http://www.webpronews.com/news/ebusinessnews/wpn-45-20040913PhishingForGmailAccounts.html
Ya, just so everyone knows, when you have a Gmail account and they give you invites to email to friends, they do not come in an email in your inbox. They are at the top of the screen. Anyone else wants invites, let me know. Or email or pm me at (that's the easiest way for me) I am happy to do it!
Give me your email and I will send you an invite. If you don't want everyone to see it you can just PM me or email me. sfields@gmail.com
I'll only say one good thing about gmail: it sure makes me appreciate Pine. Yeah, it's really THAT bad. Example: you want to send an email to TWO people, and they're both in your contacts list. Easy, right?. Any webmail can do that, right? Not gmail. Not unless you send two separate emails, or copy/paste the extra address manually, or create mailing lists, a separate list for every possible combination of people you might ever have to mail. Yes, I'd been warned, but I didn't think it was THAT bad. It really is. I'm sure that more than a few of you reading this thread could write the code necessary to fix that, and google hasn't bothered. That speaks VOLUMES about how they will treat their users.
They aren't finished, and it isn't open to the general public yet. It is still in Beta, and the like to take suggestions like that. There have been a lot of changes to it just since I got in on Beta like 4-5 months ago. It really is revloutionary. They are giving 1 gig email space FREE to anyone. What did Yahoo have before that 4mb or soemthing? They raised it to 100mb just to compete with gmail, but they don't have a chance. And they treat their users really well. My husband wrote them and let them know he was having trouble logging into his account from a VPN network, and they fixed that right away. That's what beta testing is for. They didn't just slop something together to throw out there.
I got gmail a whiles back, only thing I dont like is the per message storage limit. I wouldn't use it for anything important without encryption though!
