I was searching around on the web for dreadlock care products, and I found this site. They seem pretty good to me, but I was wondering if anyone had ever used any of their products or know anything about the company? What do you guys think?

knotty boy wax will make your hair sticky and make it easier for you to comb your dreads out when you are done with them. be careful, however, as failure to use KB wax may result in permanent knots and/or dreads.

i had knotty boy shampoo way back in the day with my first set of dreads and its good stuff. wax isnt really the best thing for dreads though and i have no idea if the sprays and such are any good.

I am currently using Knotty Boy products. The shampoo bar is fantastic. I frequently get a dry scalp due to psoriasis... Knotty Boy's shampoo works wonders for the flakes and leaves my locks smelling wonderful.

As for the wax, I cannot see any reason to dog it. At first I was waxing my locks every few days with Knotty Boy for about a week and a half. I now only use it once in a blue moon. The wax doesnt loosen or damage my locks in anyway... I typically use it once a month now or if I need to control some frizzies while going out. I usually apply it sparingly.

Wax seems to be taboo for some and staple for others; I guess it is a personal preference... it hasnt had any adverse effects on my locks.

your post sounds like a KB advertisement.

give the wax a few years... wait till the leftover bits start to rot in your hair. it's not pretty. if you want to hold down frizzies, put some fresh aloe gel in your hair. it smells better than wax and it won't fuck up your locks in the long run.

you do have a point, though, that the KB shampoo is excellent. but doc bronners is the same thing and it's much cheaper.

KB is a bunch of overrated crap they try to market to a 'trendy' dreadhead crowd for much higher prices than the stuff is worth.

    fuckin canadians.

perhaps their advertisements are based on customer reviews? The knotty boy wax washes out with not much effort... and my ex girlfriend has been using it for well over 2 years and her locks are wonderful. Must vary from person to person... and frequency of use. She, like I, use it every now and then.
Never tried the doc bronners... but everyone here raves about it. But the knotty boy shampoo bar has lasted me almost 6 months, and still has quite a few more left in it... i do not feel ripped off by the price I paid for it... considering how much money the typical undreaded folk spend on their shampoo!

Lmao @ "KB wax washes out easy."
Maybe from the outside of the dread. Not from the center.

    Whatever, enjoy your candles.
