it really doesn't surpise me at all the the vatican was originally a place where the phallus was worshipped. it could even be said, this tradition has never died and priests have carried it on
i think religions are formed earlier in different part of the world to show humans a way of life .It just a group of beliefs that are made to make humans aware of good and evil. The belief depends on the culture climate and the ethics of the group.Though we share lots of things in common like words and rituals its just like all humans in the world have two legs two hands etc all the humans are same.their humanity is same only religions are like the skin which changes from country to country
The Celtic and the Hindu are linked in indo-european culture. Gaelic, Basque and Hindu share the same root language. OH, and where is the Phallus NOT worshiped?
lol...I was thinking the same thing. I used to know a lot more about lost languages and decipherments...but I took that class last year so a lot of the little details have escaped me...but all languages come from an even further root called proto-nomatic... which is even older that the split into the four original language groups, proto-indo european coming after a second split...however the point you were tryingt o make I missed... and nice pic, BBB. Avebury?
It is one of the stones of Mitchell's Fold stone circle, situated on the english/welsh border about 5 miles from where I currently live in Shropshire. It is 2,500-3,000 years old, and was once part of a group of 3 such circles, only 2 of which remain, the other one was demolished in the Victorian era. It is a place with a unique and magical energy.
oh wow...I never hear of that one. That's really spiffy. I love megaliths...my roommate has a lot of friends in Ireland who do archaeology of megaliths and passage tombs they are indeed unique and interesting.
It's not a place which is very well known, and as it's quite a remote area by UK standards, it is often possible to be alone there. For me it is a place I go when I want to feel connected to nature. The landscape round about is something like fairy land - it could be a model for Tolkien's Shire.
It's not,.............but the hair splitting will not obscure the fact that the languages are realted.
