If someone tells you they are crazy, it has been my experience that they are telling the truth.

    Just a random thought.

Maybe, but if someone tells me that I'm crazy I tell them that they're quite observant.

I tell people Im crazy all the time, different people, different occasions, for different reasons. Sometimes it's good crazy, sometimes it's bad crazy. They dont seem to believe me, but I know I am :)
The thing with crazyness is that it seems to be a one way street. I keep thinking I can make myself less crazy, but as I get older, it keeps on increasing and well I'm just kinda letting it be

I always deny being crazy. They will figure it out on their own soon enough. No need to spoil the surprise.

I talk to myself all the time, when Im walking alone in my home or even in the streets. To me we all talk to ourselves, thinking is doing just that, the only difference is the volume of it. I dont mind thinking out loud.

    Yes. I am crazy.

Is This Guy crazy? I say no, but only because of the deeper meaning of the video,if i saw someone walking down the street like that,i would think hes really ill.

I see what your saying Autentique, but i did say talking in gibberish.

If they are already calling me crazy I think the element of surprise is pretty much out the window.

That actually depends on how crazy you are.

    But I see your point.:)

If someone tells me that they are crazy, then I assume that they're perfectly sane.

It's funny how all these college types romanticize insanity. Insanity is far from being something unique and pretty. Crazy people do not realize that they're crazy.

I dont think insanity is unique or pretty. It's more scary than anything else. I would agree that a crazy person wouldnt realize they are crazy, but do you think that a person can realize that they are losing their mind?
Because of how I've seen it in people and I'm talking about REAL insanity, it's a progressive thing.

This was more of a random thought thing.

I do not think anyone is glorifying anything.

However it has been my experience that if someone tells you that they are crazy there is a reason for it.

As for crazy people not knowing they are nuts, that simply is not the truth.

If you read about serial killers they know something is wrong with the way they are living their lives. Even though they cant control it.

But this was simply an observation that if someone tells you they are crazy, there is a reason for it. You might want to look at what they are saying and why.

Then it kind of got off into joking around.

If someone says they are crazy to me, I am going to listen to that and consider it a fair warning.

How can a person realize that they are loosing their mind if their mind is all they have?

They can compare themselves to other people, and possibly decide that they are insane in society's standards... but they will still feel sane within their own realm. Things will make sense to them from their own perception.

Unless they've truly and completely lost it.

I dont know, to me it's kind of a progressive thing, so I think that you can detect certain changes in your behaviour and your pattern of thinking that you feel "different", "weird" and "crazy". Not from the point of view of society but your own.
For example, wondering did I actually have a conversation with X person or did I just imagine that? to me that seems pretty crazy and this is while being completely sober. This doesnt mean that you are crazy now, but maybe someday you will be and that day is when you are not longer wondering if something was imagined or real.

Well, crazy can come in lots and lots of different ways.

I've met plenty of crazy people in my life. I can tell you one thing... they have no idea that they are crazy. They may be aware that others think they're crazy, or that something is not right... but they will never admit to being crazy.

I do agree though, it's progressive... but, I think that it isn't very easy for a person to consciously monitor personality change in oneself. We are usually way too distracted by other things.
