Yeah I don't have a tv or cable anymore, but at te time the show was originally aired I had a projector and we would just chill and watch it with the sound on very loud. Check out CAVES if he has it, one of the best ones IMO.

There are some under water caves where like the water forms layers and seems like air, people have mistakenly taken off their scuba mask and drowned.

My brother got it for me on HD for my last birthday. My mom just bought a new 50" plasma, and it should be here in a week. I cant wait to watch it on that thing.

I agree that the Caves episode is probably the best. To the person who talked about them being on the discovery channel, don't watch them on there because the narrator is the horrible chick. The only way to watch Planet Earth is to experience it with David Attenborough as narrator.

I can't remember if shallow seas has the sea hippopotamus thing, or if it the deep seas one. Fuck I guess I will have to watch both so I can see it graze along the bottom stirring up sand with its giant floppy cheeks.

I think its the deep seas one cuz I don't remember seeing that creature tonight.
But I watched deep seas and Pole-to-Pole last night so I really can't be sure.

I agree with you digital on everything, except I don't have blu-ray. I watch them in 720p sadly compared to your 1080p.

I'm so happy other people here watch that show. It's fucking amazing! Some of my friends are way into it and some thing it's like totally wierd or some shit. I've got every episode on my DVR hahhhha

I love it when they talk about how hard shit is to film, like one guy had to bury himself and wait for like 2 days to see some antelope or something....Crazy shit

Ya comedies and documentaries are the best when your high. I just watched superbad(for the 1st time) when i blazed and it was the funniest thing ever.

And "mininova.org" is a great torrent site. Just make make sure you have "Azureus" downloaded and your set.

I'm so glad there's already a thread about this...sorry to dredge up old threads, I just wanted some Planet Earth love.

The caves one is my least favorite - I totally can't handle that huge mountain of batshit swarming with cockroaches. Freaks me right out. (Because I'm high...shhhh)

Here are some other nature series I'm particularly fond of:
    - Blue Planet
    - Wondrous Secrets of the Ocean Realm (retarded name, but good stuff)
    - Anything by David Attenborough, like: Life of Mammals, Life in the Undergrowth, Life of Birds, Private Life of Plants.

Anyone else got any favorites I might not have seen?
