Hey people.. I've been trying to decide where abouts I wanna live in Devon. So I thought Barnstable would be good, as its a bigger town with more people are more places to go...I THINK. Although, I've only ever really been there during the day...so don't really know what the alt/music scene is like there? clubs, gigs, poetry, pubs..etc..or anywhere else you know in Devon that has a good performing arts heritage..i.e Ooozes creativity and like-minded people! hehe So any info any you guys can share would be much appreciated!! That's a toughy. My time in Devon has always been spent getting away from civilisation! I'm guessing you don't wanna live on Dartmoor?
The beauty of the west country for me is the countryside itself. If I ever get around to settling down there myself I'd probably find some remote little hamlet, or country cottage....
Barnstaple looks alright, nothing amazing i wouldn't say anyways, but im bias-i like the scottish hills myself! but ask sunny-she stays near barnstaple in croyde and it is beautiful down that way, nice weather(well in the summer) and loads of surfing people! you should get in touch with her and meet up im sure youll have some random adventures! also faberelli(think thats his name on here), justin, lives around that area to so try and track him down. hope you enjoy yourself! namaste x x x
