So I was woken up this morning at around 10:30 and didn't get to fall asleep till around 1 in the afternoon (I was up late). I go back to sleep, knowing that I'm going to be lucid, and find that I'm somwhere and I start to try to fly. I then realize that I'm dreaming and gain control; so I take off, way up above the clouds. I fly around for a little, and dive; I feel shaky and tense but I just remember that I can pull out at anytime. I wait till I'm a few feet away from the ground and pull up again and just soar. I do a bunch of airial tricks and fly even farther up. I then do a more dives and finally land; then I woke up. Oh well, it was awesomous anyhow.
Lucid dreams are awesome! I've had only two of them that were truly truly lucid, and a whole crazy load of ones that were really close to it. You seem to enjoy the flying aspect, and aerial maneuvers. I know your profile says you're only 16. I think that on your 18th birthday, you really should do a skydive. You'll flip out about how cool it feels! Blue skies, -Jeffrey
Hmm... skydiving... that's how I wanna go out when I'm like 70 or 80, ya know, when you start losing bowl control and alzheimer's kicks in. But anyway, maybe, that sounds like a good idea. I love flying in my dreams; I can recall 2 other significant dreams, I was only lucid in one of them, where I flew. The one where I wasn't lucid was quite fun, I was at my old house and had difficulty taking off; but I eventually flew around my house and out to the front. I can't completely recall the rest of it though...
i have been trying to get lucid for a while now but it just isnt working for me have you got anu pointers?
Yes, try to recall dreams when you have them; keep a journal of them. Dreams occur in the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stage of sleep, which is one of the last stages, so when you wake up you are usally near that stage. If you fall back asleep thinking that you'll be lucid, it's possible that you will be. Now, being lucid doesn't mean you control your dream, you could control it and not be lucid; lucid means that you realize that you are dreaming. There are certain things that you can use to remind yourself whether or not you're dreaming; like looking at your watch and not recognizing the symbols. I dunno, try googling it. I first learned about it from the Paranormal/Conspiracy boards on GameFAQs.com...
I can tell you bout the flying-this can be an image if imminent succes,a sign of rising above mundane annoyances, indicating your desire to be in charge of events. But if your flying dreams ends in falling, this is a bad sign. thats all i know:}hope i can hepl:} with lots of sunny smiles Nadia peace
