    OKAY KIDS! LISTEN UP! MUAH!

Me and Joshie were talking... and... we need a fucking meeting, kids. I feel like the tribe is at a standstill, and I mean, it's not a bad thing... we're all off doing our own shit, and that's fine... But we need some inspiration! And we always get good positive vibrations when we having meetings, at least I think so... So let's get this shit on the road. Literally :p When is good for kids?

    This is my dream.

    Seriously.

I didn't know that people actually have had the balls to do this several times over.

I'm beyond interested... Though I'd have to wait until this summer at the earliest (I'll be 18 in March, but it's a matter of school).

This may have been asked before, but I'm much too lazy to read through all the posts in this thread... How long do these things go for? do they ever stop?

I'm at the point in my life where I've just gotten back from student exchange and feel like the life I'm living now is just wasted space. I need to do SOMETHING, ya know? This just may be it.

Where are you guys located right now? I'd love to be on board for this... I can't PM because I'm so new I think, but my e-mail is tarastanding123@yahoo.ca ... I'm in Cranbrook BC (5 hours from Calgary by bus/car) definitely give me a shout!

the bus is in hamilton right now,

i the past the buses I have operated has gone 8 nine months at a time. people stay as long as they want. most people get there fill after 3 to four months then get off and reboard later.

the way this bus is set up it belongs to everyone, paid for by everyone in the candian tribe, so it is not operated by one person but many which means its capable of operating indefinatley.......

wow...blink i have read this thread from start to finnish and i am speechless. i feel lucky to have found these forums. i think ive always been a hippy at heart. my passion is people, hiking/outdoors. im easy going, get along with pretty much anyone.

    this is excellent.

i have tried many different things in various areas of life. but i always felt out of place...or like something was missing. which is why im moving out of norcal pretty soon, but i think something like this would be a life experience. thats what its all about. anyways man...

if i were ever to do something like this i would sell most of my possesions and give that $$$ to my communion/family...not to mention some communal herb =)

this made my day thanx man, i wish the best to you brother

    ..::peace::..

    ok
so I just got some good news...well I got it a few days ago then forgot...then remembered again!

jordan a past treasurer on the THC 8 has aquired another highway child bus,
its a 54 I think an old city bus. hes coming out of L.A so we might be able to arrange to pick up some alumni in the south west

now, there are some plans, ...ok some talk about getting some of the buses together in new orleans for mardigras.....

it would be cool to have a tribe meeting there with all the buses, I know its short notice and all, and as of right now nothing is in stone.

let me know if your interested and where you are ok!

jordans coming out of L.A so we might be able to arrange to pick up some alumni in the south west thc huglife is in MD as far as I know and I havnt heard frm the THC 8 since they were having some bus probs in colorado, derecks thc burning bus is mia as well and I dont know whats up with thc drunk **** either

im going to TRY to get the THC canada bus ready for then .......I also have to talk to the rest of the canadian tribe and see if its cool......so yeah canadian tribe email me your thoughts...

    peace

First, let's get together as a tribe...

Then... let's go where ever the road takes us.

I'm sure you've covered this early on, but could you go over again how to go about joining THC, what you're looking for in members, what skills and resources would make a person most useful to the bus community, etc. And is there a minimum of $$$$?

well theres lots of ways really,
meet up with one of the buses and get along with them, get voted on by the tribe there, give a donation and there ya go...

meeting up on line, talking to the tribe, give your donation get on a bus,

the most usefull? mechanical skills for sure. no.... crafty? good glass blower...

its the ability to think on your feet to roll with the changing punches the road throws at you.
many many times everything goes to shit at once, those people who get all upset start crying and placing blame./...we dont want those kids!

we want those who pick up there pants, figure shit out and help work as a tribe to get us further down the highway.

as for minimum, you see again that all depends....if we meet ya hitchhiking...no theres no minimum, if we meet you online and were not leaving for a while, then yes its an equall share as what has been attributed to the bus. ......

we have a rulles, but in the end they are more like guidlines.....
best way is to start chatting withg some of the tribe on here get on msn and start talking with the kids....get to a tribe gathering ect...

    peace

What's the equal share right now? And when/where is the bus kicking off ? If I can get details (to convince my parents mostly) then I can know for sure if I can actually do this or not.

    merry christmas, quanza, haunaka.....happy holidays????
seasons greetings from ours to yours!

right now equal share is set at 1000 as each of the canadian tribe has put that much out to the building of the bus. the departure date is not set , its up to everyone to get together and finsih the hand labour on this bus.

as far as I know a few of the tribe are showing up here in hamilton next month all tribe is welcome to participate in our tribe house until we leave....as soon as we get done.

this is a group effort .. the sooner we get it done together the sooner we leave!

    peace
    happy new years!

Damn it, I missed Drew again.

So I'm thinking everything is chugging along quite nicely... I mean, we can't do much until we're all together. I havnt talked to Joshie in a while, I'm assuming he's off on his vegabond-athon. But he'll get a hold of me soon, I hope. Then I can plan our next move.

    Happy Holidays, children!! Happy Solstice!
