Hell no dude. It'll basically just start them over, and it will damage your hair. Just leave them alone. They'll unravel a little, but that happens. Then they'll start tightening.
Yeah just let em be. Mine did the same thing at that point. Around the 5 or 6 month mark they started locking up on their own
