I can't possibly remember all the places i've been barefoot (well over 1001) but here are some not previously mentioned-the London underground, the HM bark Endeavour (sailing ship), Withernsea lighthouse (an unusually high one!), the top of St.Pauls cathedral (even higher-over 400 steps!), Thorpe cloud hill (900ft high) with UK barefoot hikers, Whitby Abbey, and all over the island of Elba, to which Napoleon was exiled all those years ago (hasn't changed much!), and just recently the Imperial war museum in London.
I'll abide by the rules and name my ONE place: A ski hill in the Canadian Rocky Mountains (Kimberley, BC) Mind you, it was September, but I did have to climb up a fair ways to get in a group picture.
I go to Walgreens a couple of times a week barefoot, only because I don't go to Wal Mart to buy daily type stuff. I only had a problem once. -Terry
