i can't sleep. :(

    every winter my sleep pattern goes really weird and i turn into a vampire. i haven't been out in daylight for ages!

    it's 7am now and i still can't sleep! argh. nothing works either, i tried drinking milk, alcohol, sleeping pills, reading boring books, humming, drawing meh

    how do i get out of this habit? :D

    what drugs did you try? Alchohol should put you out. What drugs do you regularely use? For me coke keeps me up like a muther fucker

    Or you could try meditating before going to bed, and continuing when you're actually trying to go to sleep. It works for me every single time. I don't know about you, but my biggest problem is clearing my mind of thought. It can be really hard to choose to stop thinking, but it's important.

    yeh i'm having the same problem, its usually about 5am when i sleep, and wake up around 2-3pm, which isnt very good as i have exams now so really i should be getting up and working through the day but as it is i'm wasting alot of tiem and not getting enough work done i dont think. night times just fun at the moment, quiet and peaceful but i want to get back into being human.

    completely wired now and its half 4 almost.
    only advice i have is force yourself to get up at a normal time tomorrow, have a proper day and sleep early on the night, a few days in a row and your sleep pattern will sort itself out. it's hard to do though, i wake up at 9, then 10am, then 2pm as i'm too lazy to get out of bed at 10am and think i'll just have anohter 30 minutes. sigh. oh well.

    Do exercise, you'll get tired eventually and fall asleep without even realizing it.

    hahaha oh man i know exactly what you mean, my pattern constantly goes off too, if i have free days it just gets worse and worse until im going to sleep at like 10am and waking up at 10pm , its crazy. but if you want to manipulate theres a method i use:

    dont sleep when u need to, wait it out with coffee/redbull, and then go to bed at say 10pm, u will apreciate your bed more than anything at this point =P. so u wake up @ say 7am, then u will become sleepy at around 5pm, just stay up till 10pm, and thats it - next day will be even easier. 1-3 days and all back to normal.

    but wow really i kind of thought i was the only one on this issue xD
