good movies such as dazed and confused

what are some good movies that capture the goodness of stoned teenaged years such in the way dazed and confused had done so perfectly?

the only things i can think of are the tv series freaks and geeks and possibly the first half of detroit rock city

since this is my favorite theme for a movie im looking for other movies with that 'good times' feel, thanks for any help

i love all of Detroit rock city, especially when they feed the priest the shrooms. another popular high school movie is breakfast club, but i dont like it so much. if ur just lookin for stoner movies there every where, the cheech and chongs, knocked up, puff puff pass, how high, friday, road trip, fear and loathing, etc. i personally cant wait for pineapple express to come out but thats still a while off. anyways until then theres about a hundred different stoner movies u can watch.

 

Aside from the ones the guy above me mentioned, there isnt any. There are movies that have snippets or side jokes about weed but none that have a whole story line revolving around it.

 

How high is pretty good, but it's kinda dumb at parts. The pineapple express is gonna be awesome, trailers on youtube for that one.

 

If you liked Dazed and Confused, you'll love Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

They even often sell both movies as a set.

 

i dont know the trailer i saw was pretty unrealistic but maybe thats what they were going for.

seth rogen can take some good hits as we've seen in knocked up and now this

 

the preview for pineapple express that came with the dvd of superbad is awesome. they smoke a cross joint

 

try "the trip" which came out in the 1960s, i don't reccomend how high, it's pretty dumb, unless you're high, other than that I can't really think of a good stoner movie that involves teenagers.

 

What about harold and kumar 2?

The stoned age is alot like what you are looking for

 

dazed and confused was one of the worst movies i've seen. i almost fell asleep a number of times, and it was in the middle of the afternoon....


so boring.

but to each his own. there are some "stoner movies" out there i really find funny or entertaining at least occasionally, but d&c is NOT one of them.

if i had to watch something and had a limited selection, the only movies i'd likely pick dazed and confused over are anything by cheech and chong
