I was talking with my mums mate the other week and the conversation went to the consipricy theories of roswell. According to him: Aparently (and i dispise that word by the way) the govt was testing out some new material that they had created on some aircrafts in roswell, when there was a malfunction and the crafts crashed. They didnt want the public to know about the material that they were working on and so created the roswell conspiricies. Simple as that? Now the guy that told me is an increadibly insightful man. Tasmanian of course so what do you expect. I just wanted to hear your opinions on the matter. What do you think? I personally think i need a bit more information on the issue. care to enlighten me?

There are declassified documents on Area-51, and people who were working there in WW2 have confirmed this, but basically they were inventing Stealth jets and the likes way ahead of their time. They also have saucer-shaped UFO's. But anyways, i like to think they got aliens becuase im sooo much happier beleiving in other lifeforms off earth.
thats all bullshit. I have seen a interview with a guy who found the material in the desert. He actually worked for Roswell. He took the material to the guy in charge or whatever and they told him never to say anything about it. Well word got out, and they said it was a weather balloon and the bodies found were dummies involved in the test. Now, the reason they told about the test is because people started to freak because of the possibility of another lifeform. So the military had to say it was some project they were doing. See, they didnt want you to know aliens are out there, so they covered it up with the story about testing a project of theirs. Now, back to the interview with the guy who ACTUALLY FOUND the material. He is still alive today. He said that it was a shiny, tin foil type of material. He also said that when he crumbled it up and set it down, it would unfold by itself back to the original form which was flat. Now about the bodies, he said they were around three feet tall, and had somewhat large, egg shaped heads with extreamly big eyes. They're bodies were gray and there was only 3 of them. Dosent sound like a crash test dummy to me, infact it showed a picture of a real dummy from then and they were about 6 feet tall and looked like your average human male. He also said they threatned that if he said anything, he would lose his family, life and everything he could think of, and they would harass him on a regular basis at home. However, they said he couldnt say something for X amount of years(I dont know the number but I have it recorded on tape). So obviously, the time that he wasnt allowed to say anything has passed. The man who was ACTUALLY there said it was alien lifeform and the government covered it up. So do you believe the government?
who knows what the gov't is hiding. The government(s) are so screwy...but thats another possiblity, cant rule everything out.
I think its pretty kickass they keep landing here. If you live in America, then you have a better chance at getting to see one. That is if they only land n america...duh

There supposedly has been several other crash sites, in many different countries. Roswell is just the most famous.

One of the supposed reasons is based on what is usually called the "Brookings Report". It was a study commissioned by NASA, done by the Brookings Institute in 1960, formally called "Proposed Studies on the Implications of Peaceful Space Activities for Human Affairs". Part of its conclusion, if verification of extraterrestrial life was found, was that it would have a disruptive effect on humanity. It also examined, withholding that information from the public.
