One of my acquaintances from school (college) wanted some Adderall a few weeks back to study for finals. He asked if I knew anyone, and I did not, though I know people who know where to get just about anything else. I've heard some colleges have a booming adderall trade, where do they get it all? Have the newspapers and such merely exaggerated the use of Adderall as a study aid? Seriously the only person I've ever known who had it needed it so that he could function, no way he'd sell it.
Yes. People go fucken Adderall crazy. Even kids that don't do drugs at all buy the shit to study. I hate it, personally. I'd much rather chill out while studying, instead of tweaking.
I know a friend who's doing it now...I disapprove, but oh well. She's in college and I'm still in HS, so I may not fully understand her reasoning. I'd just like to know: Is it habit forming? Harmful to the body? Or is it easy to kick and just an addition in the army against sleep, i.e. caffeine?
I've never really met anyone with an Adderall habit who wasn't taking it as a perscription. Is it bad for ya? Sure it is... like every other pill. It ain't dangerous though... Even though there is a potential of abuse with practically anything out there.
The funny this is, I took Ritalin, Concerta, and Strattera (the last one is totally different) as a kid and early teen to treat my ADHD...it's effects for me calmed me down, and I stopped being so hyper and interruptive. Yet with 'normal' people, it speeds them up! Drugs are so very subjective..
I only like to take adderall during tests, it hinders me while studying. and I usually only take it when immense amounts of writing are involved. I got me an A in government this semester, hells yea
please don't think it has no risk at all.adderall can so be dangrous, well its not as dangerous as say crack or herion but its buy no means 100% safe to use.Its a pharmaceutical psychostimulant comprising of mixed amphetamine salts.AKA -pharmaceutical Speed !!! Alot of bad things can happeen from using Adderall, If you are a person who has any heart problems or high blood preassure you should stay far away from Adderall or any uppers for that matter. You can get psychologically addicted, you can fuck up your heart a ton of differnt ways, you can even over dose from it and in some cases Die from a heart attack or a stroke. please do not think its totaly safe to use its rare but you can OD form it. Also so many people at schools say they are just going to use Adderall and Ritalin to study and thats all and never do other drugs, The next thing you know they like the feeling and start abusing it all the time and then when thats stops working keeping them up at night so htey can study they move to buying a Grams of coke instead !!!
Oh yea I forgot to mention, Adderall is better if you want a speedy feeling whenever just to get high, concerta is waaay better for studying with all it's crazy time release stuff..
Adderall is huge here during exam week, even kids who wouldn't touch any other drugs do it. It's fairly easy to get a hold of. You just need to know someone with a prescription. I can think of 8 right off the top of my head that have prescriptions and are willing to sell.
It can be dangerous, but the thing is that taking a big dose is dysphoric. This holds true for straight dextroamphetamine also, but the dysphoria is more in the form of stress than a sick feeling. It is thus logical that people wouldn't overdose yet I imagine that they do. Take more than the optimal amount and the initital buzz to rush is not worth a shitty day. It helps some aspects of brain function but makes others worse. The result is often a mess, not death or anything, but a mess of thoughts, ideation, writing, and severe physical or mental discomfort. Hit the sweet spot and it does what it is suppose to do, and does it very well --for about 3 days. The way it works when it is typically administered to kids is by receptor downregulation so that the dopaminergic response to stimulus, and i mean stimulus in the most general sense, is weakened. Personally I think this is horrible.
