what do you think now of alcohol?

Dimebag Darrell is one of the fastest, craziest, technical guitar players ever the walk the Earth...he was piss drunk every show. Same with Slash. Whether or not you like Pantera or GnR is moot, they are both very skilled guitarists and they literally drank themselves retarded. Alcohol can help you let loose and therefore aid you in shedding inhibitions and getting into the music more...the resulting sound is much better and more passionate because of it. Booze def doesnt help your technique any, but its no worse then playing after smoking a huge joint as long as your not too hammered.

I do agree though. Weed and LSD are far better for musical expirimentation...LSD especially.

People drink for the same reason people smoke weed. Weed is an intoxicant, it doesnt teach you anything...you smoke to get high, you drink to get drunk...the only difference between the two is that pot is healthier. I smoke to get happy, 24/7, when im sad i smoke and yes i find it hard to be happy without weed. Im the defintion of a pot head. Does that make me any better than an alcoholic...no. I smoke to forget just like people drink to forget.

weed is nothing like alcohol. weed effects you in a totally different way. i have realised many things when i was high. weed has its benifits.

i never said they were chemically similar with similar effects. I said they were both intoxicants with no real theraputic value besides getting fucked up.

Weed and Booze both have medicinal purposes that have positive results on your body. They both also have negatives.

the point is, you figure things out with or without weed...you dont "realize things" when your baked like when your tripping.

solid point. weed def brings me to a state of hightened awareness esp after a trip. It just seems obvious that revelations on weed arnt anywhere as paramount as they are on LSD...for anyone...and if you say that weed gives you LSD like enlightenmnet with the intensity of a typical acid trip....i probably wont believe you, but its a subjective opinion so say what you will and ill accept your response as such.

No, that is an opinion/philosophy you hold in your own life. First you could start off by defining what 'immature' means to you. Just because one is immature does not mean it is intentional, as immature in the sense of being young is not intentional, you are born thus making you younger than that of the people around you unless they were born before you. A person who is young does not understand how the world works [in the sense of understanding maturity] until it is taught or they come to an age where reasoning starts - how would they see if somebody else is doing things ' immaturely', if they have not been taught what immaturity is.

If you mean immature in the sense of ignorance, who is to make the claim that with physical maturity comes with mental maturity? Look at the people around you - you can not tell me that everybody who has reached physical maturity has reached mental maturity - and what is mental maturity anyway? Knowledge is never ending as we are not omniscients in any literal sense.

I do say 3xi is immature in the sense of ignorance. He is ignorant in his beliefs, he can make no factual claims off scientific evidence that 'ANY form of alcoholic use is harmful to oneself'.

Do I have the right to say that a unicorn exists? Yes, I have the right to say what I'd please with the first amendment in my country. Can I say a unicorn may exist somewhere and just may not have been discovered yet? Perhaps. Can I say that unicorns DO exist? No I can not at all. Why can I not say that a unicorn exists? Because it has not yet been proven to exist.

So if somebody proves to me factually that a unicorn has not yet been discovered in real life (therefore inexistant in a sense of physical existence), it would be pure ignorance for me to keep believing that unicorns exist in the world. I can believe that they 'may' exist, because nobody can quite conclude that they never will, and that they never have - simply that they have not yet been found (which concludes up to this point in time that they do not exist).

It is no difference for such a tight claim. You people apparently are not very technical. "I believe any form of alcohol is harmful". Well guess what? It's been proven that any form of alcohol is not harmful, and Aura and I have proven that based on scientific evidence. 'Any form' see them words? It would be safe to claim that some forms of alcoholic use is harmful, guess why? Because it IS harmful when not in moderation, which has too been proven scientifically.

if you think his soloing has no feeling then you must be a very incompetent musician...whether you like it or not is your opinion but if you honestly can't feel soul in his solos then it's clear you dont have enough enough musical proficiency to comment either way. Look past the fact that you dont like the style and listen to the music for music's sake before you make such comments.

A friend and I were peaking on cid watching every episode of the old Batman with Adam West. You know completely analyzing his and their characters. In our zone if you will? Well we were in our "dorm" room setting and everyone just kind of comes and goes, enters without knocking this sort of thing. We were used to plenty of people dropping in hanging out, expressing concerns anticdotes, whatevers. Everyone was drunk on fridays and saturdays. The only thing they had to offer our Batman inquisitions was whether or not the girls were hot or "fuckable." We hadn't analyzed this possiblity yet. My friend and I were more concerned about whether the home life of Batman was equatable to his on screen persona. This made me realize that evening that alcohol does nothing more to you but make you speak aloud that already primal instinct of sex. So I'm pretty easy to size anyone up while they are drinking. Alcohol is for the sexers and Cid is for the thinkers. Two different entities entirely.

 

I'm not a fan of liquor at all anymore. I used to like it, drunk every weekend and that sort of thing; now I'll have a couple beer, but nothing more than a mild buzz.

i was on shrooms once--no alcohol, but my friends were drinking. i saw the alcohol "for what it was"--government poison to numb the masses. a guide referred to it as 'liquid death' -i don't touch the stuff now. every once in a while i think "a brown cow would be yummy" but as soon as i do i get this 'plague' feeling....nope....not for me anymore. i just smoke weed & do psychedelics now.

i don't like drinking at all. i've gotten drunk about 5-6 times in my life total and the last time was 5 months ago. acid never changed my views on it since i hated alcohol even before the first time i tripped.

I started out my quest for drug sociology by studying drinking. I never really liked it and saw it as pointless, but I was forever enthralled with the unlimited possibilites that follow during a night of heavy drinking and I started to study it intensely. Then I discovered the psychedelic field and my appreciation of the magic of drinking was replaced by my appreciation for the magic of tripping.

tripping is so much more cathartic and meaningful

 

no problem with alcohol here.

i love a night of laid back drinking, making music, laughing, and just talking about everything. I find it opens people up.

I guess this secret design out government is using in order to dumb us down has been in effect since 3500BC? This might be what alcohol is in your mind, but come on now. I think you are better off asigning this label to something like AID's, Crack Cocaine, or Gun's. But beer? Last time I checked, the government at one point tried to make alcohol ilegal and erase it from existance!
