Im new here and Im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'll give it a shot. I recently purchased a glass art piece from Chunky and would like you to be able to follow along with me on my experience.

I have heard some bad comments about Chunky, but I decided to give them an opportunity anyway. If your interested in this thread then please follow along. Lets go -


12/21 - Purchase glass art piece from Chunky. Paid by CC

12/21 - Receive email from Zong glass saying my order has been shipped, and I was given a USPS tracking number to track my order.

12/22 - Check tracking number with USPS. Received this message -The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on December 21, 2007 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

12/23 - Check tracking number with USPS...same message -The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on December 21, 2007 to expect your package for mailing. the owner of chunky glass pipes is actually on these forums sometimes. so you came to the right place LOL. ive ordered from them and they are prolly just busy from the holidays. i dont think that the owner has much help shipping stuff out but ive gotten both my orders so she will get everything out.

Yes with the holiday's being so close I don't expect to receive this piece in a timely fashion. I did not know Chunky's owner was a member here. Mabe he/she can follow along with us

In my experience when ordering something shipped through USPS, (from companies, eBay, etc) the tracking system has never worked. I don't know why, but I know I have received everything I've ordered. I wouldn't worry about it.

Please do not take this thread the wrong way. I truly have no doubts my beautiful art piece will arrive.

This thread is more of an experience for everyone. If anyone has ever wanted to order and had their doubts just pretend this is your order and follow along on this roller coaster ride.

I feel bad sometimes for people who are in this business because they have a lot of scammers sticking it to them. Whether it be inside their building or outside.

I would love to learn how to blow glass. I spent years in jewelry design, so im somewhat familiar with the tools of the trade.

Just a note on what you are calling a tracking number. It is in fact a delivery comp number that lets the person that ships the package know when it arrives at the address in which it was sent to.

There is a good chance you will not see anything posted about it before you receive it.

Well in the email I received it is called a tracking number...this is taken from my email -

The shipper's tracking number is 91********************

Since it is a traking number I would assume you would be able to track it. Whether it be for the seller or buyer.

 

Merry Christmas Eve everyone

Well I went to my mail box today and guess what! A nice plain brown box awaited inside. My art piece has already arrived. I was shocked to say the least.

I took a picture of it, but im not really sure how to run the pix on this site. The USPS tracking number has never shown a sign of...well anything really...

Chunkyglasspipes is a 5 star company in my eyes. I didn't really know what to expect with them, but now I would recommend them to any and everyone.

If the owner of Chunky reads this post, I'd like to say thank you very much. You have a repeat customer on your hands.

I recently purchased something from chunky glass pipes but i have a feeling i got played like a fool. I know this is a busy time of year but i have been waiting over two weeks to recieve my piece. No one will get back to me about anything and the phone number doesn't work, just goes to a full mailbox. Their stuff is great looking, i just wish it wasn't a scam. At least thats how i'm feeling about it right now. If i get it i'll post on here but i'm going to doubt it.

Yeah, I am very disappointed with chunky right now! When I first found the site, it was a great deal and I was very happy with my order. But now, it is time for new stuff, and Heather has been IGNORING US and they haven't answered my email! Heather said she'd ship me a scale and SHE NEVER DID.
They no longer have free shipping or two free glass pipes, or 20% off for hipforums members.

I think I'll be ordering from water-bongs-glass-pipes.com later this week!
I can't believe, as someone who wants to be a repeating customer, I am being neglected like this.

Well I must say I was pretty happy with my over all order. I didn't get anything for free or a discount with my order, but since my piece cost $ 60.00 ( marked down from $ 80.00) I did get free shipping. During check out, under coupon code I had to enter "freeship" in order to get the free shipping.

I have emailed Heather about my experience, but I never heard back from her. I even told her about this thread. I also told her I wished to make another purchase and inquired about stocking some glass jars...but no responce.

I think right now is a bad time for customer service because of the holiday season, but thats over with now so maybe things will get back on track. After all I still want a new grinder and some glass jars!!!

If you had read any of the other posts on this matter, then you would know you have not been played. They were super busy before holiday, so when holiday came around they got twice as busy. This is a pipe made from glass that is handblown, not machine manufactured. So after they get to your order, make the piece(s) unless they have extras, and mail it, it probably will be more than 2 weeks.

CGPBUYER... Do you have an old order number? I dont remember who you are. I remember I owe you a scale, I just dont know where to send it.

I apologize for the delay in responding to emails. They seem endless at this time of year.

There will be some dramatic changes made here at CGP for the new year. Starting with hiring a trustworthy staff to handle the customer service load. Right now its just me. CGP will also be launching its own line of glass water pipes. Perks, double perks, triple perks, all diffussed, all glass on glass. And every color imaginable. You've probably noticed alot of items are no longer available at CGP. That will continue. We are going to have all new styles and the old stuff has gotta go to make room. I will of course keep the more popular items. But I felt alot of the other stuff was thinner than it should be... amongst other reasons. Right now I am able to hand pick every piece to make sure everyone gets the best possible pipe.

hello everyone, i recently purchased a 12" glass water pipe off CGP on monday with a CC, and my order has yet to be processed or charged to my CC..i've read alot of mixed feedback from the site and i was just wondering if that was normal, and i understand that it says 2-3 days to get shipped but i figured i'd ask here since this is where everyone seems to be getting their information from. In no way am i trying to be rude and from what it seems to me CGP seems to be very legit, i just wanted to make sure , hope everyones holidays went well.

 

So will you be getting any jars in soon?

 

Chunkyglasspipes is a good site I heard but I've bought from glassartplus and they used USPS and it took 3 days to get my order and was very annoying since USPS doesn't do as good of a job at tracking as UPS and Fedex

 

Man, im very interested in seeing those tripple perks. Are they ganna be tree or dome? I have been wanting a nice perk for awhile. Hopfully yours will be, because i am getting impaciant, and I havent found one that im in love with yet. Also will you guys be making those custom

 

Hi CGP, my order number is yhst-60408490650417-5100. I got a tracking number as well but there has been no activity on it since Jan. 24th. The last stop was Richmond, CA. I don't know what the deal is but I still haven't gotten anything. I emailed your customer service address about this so if you want you can email me and i'll give you any more info you need.
