The writers of US T.V. shows are on strike, so everything that's on TV is a re-run. I thank sweet Allah for it too. Maybe people will get bored with the re-runs and actually go outside. Probably not though... they'll just watch the same episode of Seinfield for the millionth time.
Who needs scripted television when studios have given us great excuses to laugh and love, and grow old with real people. I'm glad I don't have TV.
I remember that was in the news a couple of weeks ago. Good for American society that they are still on strike. I bet the whole country is desperate for new television shows.
True. Might as well sit back and watch the fireworks. I really do hope that the world goes to complete and utter shit in my lifetime, it would be very entertaining to watch.
i didn't even realize it was going on until just recently. don't all the networks just show reruns and christmas specials this time every year anyway? honestly, it never would have even occurred to me, but i heard about the strike a long time ago, and recently noticed that the daily show has been showing repeats for as long as i can remember, and that's the point at which i put 2 and 2 together
Its not just TV writers, its movie writers as well. It has already delayed and cancelled several movies. The studios are a bunch of greedy b*stards, they can't stand to give a couple pennies to the people that actually make the shows/movies. http://www.wga.org/
You guys are bitching about how bad tv is, while you sit in a dark room staring at a computer screen? Maybe some of you should go out and make some real friends... Im not the one with over 12,000 post!
^i wouldn't even say i miss those yet, because i still haven't seen a majority of the episodes i'm seeing now; i just noticed there were a few thrown in there that i have already seen and the rest kept referencing news events that happened months ago
My room has lots of light and I have more friends than you and your mom combined! You cannot possibly compare the internet to televison. That's silly.
I wasn't aware that he and his mom were combined. The above witticism was made possible by contributions from viewers like you.
