Ive been smoking for about 10 years now and have never got caught until last month. My roommate and i were chillin at work and his step-mom (unfortunately our neighbor) called and said that the cops were at our house going through it. His girlfriend was supposed to be at home so he tries calling her. after many failed attempts he finally gets through to her. she said the narcotics team was there with a warrent. I imediately got sick thinking about all the stuff i had in the house. we got home and found that the police had written us each a ticket for possesion and for paraphenalia. luckily texas has passed the law that you can have up to 4 ounces and just get ticketed and i only had like a gram or 2 left of what i had. BUT! i had an enourmous collection of paraphenalia that in all equaled up to about $900. So they took everything including anything that looked like it had resin on it, i.e. tweezers, toothpicks, nail clippers, and a cig pack, lol. so now i owe the court $315 all in all i think the officers were pissed off cause we werent the big time meth dealers they were looking to bust. although those people are 2 houses down. warrent was obtained by getting info that people were coming and going alot (what, is it not ok to have friends when youre 23?) so they began digging through the dumpster and occasionally they would find a trash bag with seeds and stems in it but nothing linking the bag to the house. then one day they found a bag with seeds and stems AND one of my roomies bills...... bingo, probable cause... sucks dude...
um, Pot isnt legal in Texas. They are playing a game that they know the rules, and if they dont they should not be playing.
wow protecting the law by digging through garbage, hopefully they wash theyre hands in the litter juice before munching theyre fucking doughnuts
yeah seriously, all i see them doing is hanging out at the corner gas station! my town is a very small town with not many cops and when you see 3 cruisers chillin at the store all night, thats just ridiculous!
Damn man that blows. I really wish Cannabis we decriminalized in Texas. But that is cool that you only got a ticket. I was just reading about this the other day.
yeah man cops are crazy. esp if you grow cops are trying to catch ppl by observing sudden changes in electricty use (like if you begin have a light on nonstop over your plants) and also looking for lots of heat pouring out of a room from i guess lights or something.
You should lock your garbage cans and give the combo/key to the garbage company. JK thats a bit extreme, but its good that they didnt find any heavy weight on you but it sucks you lost all your pieces. Honestly though, isn't there more important things they could be focusing their time and efforts on. You know things like who can chug a bottle of maple syrup fastest, and who can say meow the most times during a traffic stop.
