Translating a love for marijuana and simplicity into tattoos...

Sorry for the generic title, and maybe this kinda thing is annoying as hell to the regulars here, but I'm such an indecisive little bitch...

I got my first tat when I was 19 and loved it (the geometric symbol off Pink Floyd's "Shine On" box set on my right shoulder blade, I love me some Floyd). Said I would get at least one more in short order. Fast forward 10+ years and I still have the one. Doh. So I gave it some thought and actually have two general ideas of things important to me, play a large part in my life.

First is a marijuana leaf. Yeah, I know it's overdone and not a great idea in general, but I want to do it anyway. Thing is, I'm trying to decide if I want something more than "just" a leaf but am coming up totally empty. To me, weed is a very natural, very important thing. It centers me and helps me deal with all the BS this life dishes out. Without it I'd really have no release and may end up killing some dipshit who was begging for it. It also brought me to the friend who understands me the most. I believe it should be legal, is less dangerous than alcohol, etc. But I also know it needs to be in an inconspicuous spot. I'm thinking lower leg around the ankle, top of the foot, or hip.

Second thought is something related to my strong feelings of anti-consumerism/voluntary simplicity. I wholeheartedly believe this is the way for me to live and it frustrates/saddens/angers me to no end how popular society (in the US and others) lives, including but not limited to how damn clueless everyone is about it. I believe we're all worse off for it, and eventually it's going to lead to our downfall (either via general societal collapse or planetary destruction). I think it's crap the damage we do to the Earth (I'm quite the liberal tree-hugger, getting more extreme by the day) and our fellow humans so we can have our luxury cars and gourmet coffee. Problem here is I'm 100% clueless on how this would translate to a tattoo.

I've googled for both subjects but have come up dry. Thought I'd see if anyone out there on the interwebs had any thoughts, suggestions, or references.

 

add it onto a symbol that you like

like maybe on top of the earth day flag (just for example)

Why don't you like some how make the weed into a powder to put in the ink of the tattoo..
