what is wrong with my fucking bong

alright iv'e had this bong for about a year. i smoke out of it pretty much everyday and its always ripped until like 3 days ago. now it wont rip at all and i wanna smoke RIGHT NOW. it has a ton of resin around the bottom and in the slide piece.. but i dont think its clogged because i scraped it this morning. why wont it rip?

 

maybe your not getting an air tight seal or something around the slide.

 

Can you wash it? It might be clogged or something. I dunno much about bongs though... I always smoke out of a pipe or roll a joint.

 

If you can't see through both ends from inside the slide piece then it's clogged. If you find that the rubber on the slide piece isn't as tight as it used to be then either get a new rubber o-ring or put a piece of chewing gum around the outside of the joint to form a seal. Maybe it just needs a real good cleaning. If it's made of glass or ceramic, try soaking it in rubbing alcohol for a few hours then rinsing it under hot water or even shaking it with a bit of water and salt to get all the old resin out. If it's made of plastic then you're probably better off with some liquid pipe cleaner.

 

nah its glass..i scraped it really good and adjusted the female that was all fucked up so it started rippin pretty good again.

 

i have always used alcohol + salt, and that has worked pretty well

when youre just doing a basic cleaning just throw it in some boiling water or something

and i just talked to a good friend the other day who said that OxyClean works incredibly...

 

ooo ive always heard throwing it in boiling water is a big no no. My friends have told me they've seen pipes crack and break from doing that. But thats also probably cause they didnt heat up the pipe before they just threw it in.

 

Best way to clean imo is rubbing alcohol and salt like someone else said, just shake for a few minutes then wash, itll look new.
