Busted! Need a collection of pro marijuana info!

Well, I was busted by my parents last week and they didn't take it well at all. I promised to stop doing it but I asked if I could at least educate them on the subject so they see my reasoning behind doing it and they understand that it really isn't so harmfull.

I am looking for a collection of facts, studies and links with good strong points and possitive aspects of the plant.

Why not dig up the info on why it was made illegal and how far back in history its use goes. Not so long ago in this country you could buy it in stores.

 

All you have to do is mention how in 1935 it was said that

"If marijuana is to be kept legal, woman will start eloping with negros"

which said in front of the house or senate or something of importance.

40oz & chronic gave some really good posts. I'd also make a suggestion, you might not *like* it that much, but you might see that it makes sense. How are your grades? If your getting like - Bs - you could work hard and get As and work out a deal with your parents about it - as long as you are getting As, they won't punish you for smoking (you'd may have to promis a few other things - like - you'll limit where & when you smoke & such -but, you are going to college soon, right? you'll be able to smoke all you want) One other thought - there *are* some people who use it for personal and or spiritual develolpment, not just to have a good time ... maybe you can offer that angle to your parent - like, it gives you insights about whatever that you find very helpful ...)

You really have no argument, no matter how much written info you provide, if you're fucking up.
