I had a strange dream last night, thought id share it with all you hipsters.

So theres this dangerously deep river that flows through my city. [Red River]

Last nite i was dreaming that a bridge crossing this river was broken, so i decided to skate across this thin stretch of ice that went down to the other side of the river.[no idea why i had skates on lol] and halfway through it was so bumpy that i fell into the river and the strong current took me with it.

I tried to swim back to the ice but it was impossible. in my mind, a newsreporter was talking about other people drowning in the same river, and i suddenly remembered my friends talking about how if someone jumped into the river theres no way theyd survive.

So as i was dreaming, i realized how easy it was to drown down there and some random pitch-black creature [perhaps the grim reaper?] crossed the ice path. i recall screaming "help help" but he/she/it ignored me lol. i actually believed i was dying/drowning cus the dream looked so realistic.

Thus, i woke up with intense adrenaline rush

If anyone can interpret the meaning of this dream, thatd be swell.

    Hi kookytree,

I thought it's like you exercise to survive in spirit, and trust into your own Self enough to go beyond the fears of dying (and of living).

And death, the friendly reaper, does not mix in but allows you the experience ... and the Red River oh he may just have given you a wonderful embrace, telling you he is your ally and your healer. And this may just what you've been looking for ... and so you tap into your your own wonder of being again, and your own mystery, and the tales of transformation that are all yours even as they take you in.

Sometimes we may feel like drowning and being washed away by the shallow waters of today's life, and so we set out to find the depth again that is not premade and not outside ourselfes. The dreams are like a stream of awareness then where you break through thin ice. In the end (and the beginning) it is all energy. It is all yours, and all parts are you ... all of the dream and all of the waking.

And so you are the journey, and you are the quest and never you get lost. You are the river, and are as infinite. The dream is your place of transformation, a portal to the other side ... but sometimes the safe banks are just not where you'd thought they are.

Dreams are a message of the soul and complete in the meaning with or without interpretation. It is what you make of it in the light of your day and inside your heart and spirit, and in the love that carries you on ... even as you trust yourself enough ... knowing you are free to change and grow, and love ever more.

Yah just a bunch of thoughts. Hope it makes sense ... thank you for sharing !

the prison of what we've allowed ourselves to be convinced of is what i see going on here. i mean the 'dark creature' passing by is mostly just the way everything else keeps going on about its own agenda, whatever happens to any one of us, although some people do i suppose go out of their way to be indefferent maliciously. that's not so typical though, rather far more often they just don't notice, or just feel simply powerless to do anything to help us even if the do, even when they can, because they too are in the same sense traped in the prison of their own perceptions, of how they see things and how the've been conviced to see things.

whenever there's something i can't do in a dream its because of something like this. really if there are any dark forces it is this inhibitive perception, that comes largely not from anything or anyone being awaire of projecting it, but rather the surrounding cultural values that 'everyone knows'.

like everyone in that dream, 'knowing' that no one can ever escape and live after having fallen in that river. it's that 'knowing they can't' itself, and itself alone, that gave you the feeling of knowing that you couldn't.
