Yea I love that song.. I was just listening to Roger McGuinn- It's alright ma, I'm only bleeding. From easy rider. I loved that movie.

 

limewire's mistake again. i hardly ever buy cds, so most of my music is downloaded and lots of times people think the name of the song is just the most repeated lyric. like i downloaded 'eleanor rigby' and it came up as 'all the lonely people.'

not even close to one of the older songs, but thats alright. reefer man was done in 1932, and there are a number of other songs from that era on the site i linked to. the jazz crowd in the 30s and 40s were among modern americas very first stoners....a slang word that may be useful to know when hearing some of these songs that has since gone out of usage is the term "viper" which refers to a potsmoker. back in the day, people pretty much ONLY smoked joints, and people who smoked pot were called vipers because they made a hissing sound, sucking on that roach trying to get out all the goodness

i dont know if it's been said yet, but one toke over the line is a good song. not as old as those jazz songs, though
