Don't. Smoke. While. You. Drive. Keep your car clean enough that someone could give it a quick once over and a sniff and it would be fine. I say this because of a rather scary experience today. I was leaving classes headed to a friends house for a smoke. Considered smoking one on the way, even packed a bowl, but decided to wait to spark it. As I'm merrily driving on my way, a car tries to cut across two lanes of traffic, long story short, big long crunching noise, and there goes my frnt bumper. The woman who cut me off called the police, who promptly arrived 45 minutes later. Took my ps2 (wth 1/4 inside) put that along with my bowl and grinder in my backpack, did a quick spray of ozium and waited. I had time to ditch it all, but decided it was overzealous. as i sat on my hood waiting for the cops, i realized how fucked i woulda been i had been lifted and rosey eyed at the time. The thought of, i shouldn' t smoke this because i may get pulled over/into an accident is actually what stopped me from smokin that bowl. Just wanted to stress to everyone ITS WORTH WAITING. I know alot of people burn ride on deserted back roads, but its when your stinky car gets on main roads after those rides is the problem. Would hate to see any of my fellow stoners get screwed over because someone cuts you off at the wrong time. tl;dr: Crashed car, wasn't blazed. don't smoke and drive. I apologize for the rant, probably more detail than was needed. Smoke on.
haha yeah wow something like that just happneed to me today... I had just hotboxed my car and im driving down the road to get some gas with my friend when my car runs outta gas in the middle of the road. a cop just happens to drive up a few seconds later and im like o shit. i try to air out my car as he parks behind me and is walking up. he didnt mention anything about the smell though luckily even though im sure he noticed since he questioned me for like 15 minutes before helping me push my car outta traffic. i completely thought i was bopped, i threw the roach out the window literally 10 seconds before the i broke down and the cop came to my window... good stuff
jakesanders- good post. that shit can fuck your life over, and unfortunately a lot of the kids on the forum don't really appreciate the consequences.
I got pulled over once with six people in my car. We had two bowls in rotation and hot boxing, lol. Got pulled over because of a tail light that was out (which I swear had to have gone out during this tour). A woman cop just gave me a notice about the light and told us all to buckle-up...It smelled soooo strong. lol.
^As It was in this case. Cop who came was actually a nice guy. Dispatch never sent a car to me, so after 45 minutes of waiting i flagged this guy down. Told us his report would include the fact i had right of way, and the fault falls on the other driver. So, her insurance takes care of everything, and thus my rates shouldn't go up.
I was drunk once and got in a 4 car pile up. It was the day before I was leaving for rehab and I had 18 shots earlier that day. I was driving on a suspended license and had tons of shit in my car. They let me go though cuz I had just gotten out of work and they felt bad.
I find usually when Im stoned and driving I am extra careful its the other people on the road who drive with no regard for their lives or the lives of others that tend to make a good situation go bad. Someone was driving about 60mph yesterday in a 40mph zone when I was on my way home from my friends house. The car was in the far right lane and I was in the middle lane. There was a lot of traffic and this persons lane was about to end. They came flying in and dove in front of me then slammed on the brakes for stopped traffic. I was about 6 inches from plowing into his rear bumper.
You know, it depends on the driver. Some people can drive while stoned, and some people (like me) shouldn't drive at all while stoned. My brother says he is actually a better driver stoned. And I know a lady who drives stoned a lot. She's not the best driver, but she's never wrecked as far as I know. Know your limits.
i never drive on main roads if i smoked or am smoking in my car. i just go on the deserted back roads and then go strait home. i am really paranoid when i am smoking in my car, so i know how to play it safe, i guess
