I met Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from kiss when I was really young, I dont really remember a lot of it but I do remeber that Gene stuck his tounge in my face and it scared me. And I'm also an actor, well not really but I was an extra in a movie that's being filmed near my school so the movie producers gave my class a pizza party if we would play at a park and acted natural.. I'm in there somewhere sitting on a swing talking to my friends, and the whole time we were just saying swear words....
my sister works at a vets office in nyc and in the last 2 days she has treated Amy Lee's cat and Matthew Broderick's dog (had a convo with him about dog poop)
When she went to retreive Matthew Broderick from the waiting room did she by any chance walk in and go "Bueller.....Bueller" in a monoton Ben Stein voice? Cuz that would have been amazing.
I have met all the Members of the metal band Sanctity. I have met Chris and Willie Adler of Lamb of God and also Randy Blythe of Lamb of God. I have met all of the members of Opeth. I have talked with Bonz who used to be the frontman for Stuck Mojo. My uncle is Brett Rice. He has played in alot of big movies (forest gump, the waterboy, remember the titans, edward scissorhands) He is not a big name but he is still in alot of well known movies
hahaha that would be awesome to meet him i would have totally done that if it was me. i wish that i had some cool stories about meeting famous people. actually i think that id just rather be famous then to meet a famous person LOL.
John Peel, David Gedge, The Delgados... well they were big in my world:tongue: One or two semi famous academics...
I just rememberd, the coolest kind of famous person I ever met was the drummer for Lightning Bolt. Got to talk to him twice before he played and when he played I was practically falling into his drum set
dont think i've ever heard of lightning bolt anyway, i dont think i'd want to be famous, but to be well off financially would be nice. though i dont know if being RICH would be good... i dont really care to be known by everyone. i'd think being legitimately famous would have more downsides than it would be worth
i dont think so. I would just do what dave chapelle did make a couple movies then cash out and retire to smaller town like he did
meh, i'd still like to be able to go wherever i want and do whatever i want within reason without being recognized/known by the masses...even if dave spends most of his time in yellow springs or wherever he is, he's recognized there as well as he would be in most any other town in the country. even going to get groceries may no longer be a simple routine activity with stupid people running up on you just cause they've seen you in a show or movie or you're a musician or anything. i dunno.... honestly the few times that i've been around famous people didnt really phase me much at all. they're just normal people. but i know a lot of them get a lot of shit to deal with from the star crazed masses....im sure attention would be nice, and flattering, in the beginning...but i'd still imagine it would wear a bit thin pretty quickly. but thats just me
http://www.myspace.com/laserbeast Insane stuff, but I dont know if youd like it. Its a mix of advant garde jazz, noise rock, and the absolute loudest music you can imagine. It's just drum and bass but those two produce more sound and timed out synchronised harmony through dissonance than most bands around. Seeing them live is where its at but your ear might bleed
sounds like something i'd either really dig or really really hate we'll see...i'll check it out a bit later. thanks for the link!
No prob It took me about a year to get into them, I played bass with a band sometimes who sound similar and I got into it from them. But the day when the music made sense and clicked for me? Ill never forget it
heres how they describe themselves haha : Two piece drum and bass outfit that is louder than many NASCAR events. The most complicated music imagineable played by costumed super heroes with hockey gloves
sat on a plane next to Hank Aaron...my couisn is former worlds strongest man, Magnus Ver Magnusson from Iceland...saw the 7up guy in the airport...when my dad used to be a big shot at delta, sat in the same suite at a hawks game as Tom Glavine and Mark Lemke...my bro and dad were wrestling in a hotel room in new orleans, and Joe Horn was staying above us, and he came down to see what was going on...saw jennifer anniston in hawaii...not me, but my dad sat next to Ozzy Osbourne on a plane...ive met, or seen alot of people, the one I thought was the coolest was Joe Horn, he was one of the nicest people I have ever talked to, and he smelled like bud!
yea, every year when we go back to iceland, he has us over for dinner...we used to live two houses down from him, back when we still lived there. Ive got all kinds of pictures of me when i was younger doing pullups on his arms...every summer, or anytime we come back, he still offers me 10,000 krona if i can knock him over...i am 6'1" and weigh 200 pounds, and I still can hardly make him budge.
I have met Keller Williams a few different times. I even have a picture with Keller, My Mom, and Myself. I have also meet Bela Fleck and the Flecktones twice and Jeff Austin once. I met the bus driver for dark star at a Denny's at the Colorado/Kansas border-he was eating breakfast with his family and this bus was parked out side, but they were all asleep-he said they had stayed up all night playing Tiger Woods Golf.
