so we all know if you smoke pot regularly and just bum around and dont excerise or anything its bad for you, but if your active lik an athlete and workout n condition everyday ,is smoking still bad for you, since your still active? -One Love
i dont think so as long as you dont let yourself get lazy. I have a friend on highschool soccer team & football team and he burns with me all the time. (when i used to burn). and i would always smoke a couple times a day, play soccer with him for a few hours, go to the gym. so no i wouldnt say so.
at my high school, all but one kid on the basketball team smokes, about 3/4 of the football team does, and 1/2 on my baseball team do. and my school is considered one of the top in our state.
ahh, you can do anything if you set your balls to it, i used to blaze and and toss weights and climb trees for hours.

I am active everyday and excercise everyday and also smoke weed everyday but i think the only thing that prevents is being fat.
I smoke weed 1-4 times a day, and have been doing so for the past 6 months. I have been smoking for the past 5 years. I can run a mile in 5:13 and can swim a 50m underwater. Provided you remain somewhat active, I think you can overcome the damage weed will be doing to your lungs. Then again, I use weed as an enhancement, so when I get high I normally play football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, swim, run, bike, hike... On the other hand, I have a friend whos been smoking weed (and a shitload of cigarettes) for the past 2 years who has completely lost all cardiovascular capability. he used to be able to run the length of a soccer field with no issues. now, he cant walk without breathing heavily. smoking weed doesn't mean that you have to end up on the couch or computer all day wasting away as you get fat and destroy your lungs. being high makes all physical activity infinitely more enjoyable, and even makes heavy workouts and conditionings completely bearable.
Pot isn't bad for you, if you don't let it make you lazy. It only takes a little willpower to make yourself get up off the couch. I walk 2 miles a few times a week, high or not. I'm pretty sure I burn more calories when I'm high. And I do other kinds of exercises.

i can run a 5k pretty easily. my friend (non smoker) want me to participate with him in a marathon but i doubt i can do that shit with out dying. im not very strong though i can only bench like 140 but i can squat a bunch. i was still able to play back up on the d-line of my football team and that was when i was still smoking like 3 times daily. i deffinitly think a stoner athlete can exist, and do. but i imagine the ratios probably pretty out of whack.
I weigh 190lbs, i stand 5'11, and I smoke several times a week, with a couple of bummed cigs from friends. I can bench 225lbs, run a mile in under 6:30, and go to UMass Amherst (and I do well). I get high after everything is done. I'll go for a run or lift, eat, do homework, then smoke. Be responsible and it won't slow you down. If you smoke instead of run, then you're in trouble.
currently i blaze pretty much everyday, i dont work out, i smoke primetimes quite often now and i dont eat that great either but i play mens soccer 2-3 times a week and i never really feel any effects from any of it and i did the same during high school playing for 2 teams and smoking everyday i just dont play or practice high thats all its always nice coming home from anything strenuous and smoking a bowl so i stick to that and its worked well
Almost everysingle athlete at my old school smoked weed and they were just like any other stoner. Not everybody who smokes sits on the couch or whatever, i know that when i used to get high with my friends i loved going everywhere. I would get high and go walk around for hours till like 3 in the morning and then do the same thing the next day. Being high makes everything you do physically so much more fun. Like the otherday me and my bf went sledding after we got high and i had such a good time. Weed doesnt effect you physically, cigarettes does.
Look at all the professional athletes who smoke weed, like NFL players for example. They have to be in excellent physical condition and perform at a high level (pun intended). So I think as long as you work-out and get exercise, you'll be fine.
Damn, everytime I smoke weed I like the throw the football and it is surprising at how accurate I am while high.
