Personally, I think all the classic horror movies were produced throughout the '70s and well into the '80s. Movies like 'Carrie' and 'The Shining' will always be classics in my heart, man. What are you favorite horror classics?
i agree with you that the best horror flicks were done in the seventies and a few in the early eighties. phantasm makes me laugh my ass off but its also creepy and i love the first two halloween movies. carrie is awesome too
i agree with you on the shining. one of my favorite horror films. carrie, not so much. also, psycho, halloween and pet sematary.
For me, classic horror is Night of The Living Dead, the original. Black and white done by collage students. I was pregnant at the time I saw it in the theater, and I tell you that baby kicked all to hell.
I agree. That movies creeped the shit out of me when I first seen it. I think a "classic" horror movie would be Rosemary's Baby or The Exorcist. And I don't know why people consider Carrie a horror movie. If anything I'd say it's a drama. I didn't find it to be scary at all but more so sad. I felt bad for Carrie.
Or the Return of the Living Deads. Aside from those Psycho was great as was Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Lost Boys, and the original Wickerman.
It's The Shining for me, hands down. The only modern one I've seen that I like at all is The Descent.
