is this dank? was it a good deal?

so it was my first purchase of weed lol (ive always just gotten it from friends but never actually bought it myself) and was charged 120$ for what you see below. not sure of the weight tho. my buddy seemed to think we got a good deal but im skeptical. havent smoked it yet, were waiting for friday night at my buddies house when his parents go away for the night lol.
so.....thumbs up or down??

 

looks nice but you cant tell until you smoke. You should put up a picture of the bud in a plastic baggy so i can get an idea of the amount and see if you got ripped off.

 

i cant really tell from the pics to much but it looks like really good stuff. i cant be sure about the amount though with just pics. it looks like good stuff but it does seem like you were charged a bit much for it. like the other poster on here said try to take a pic of it in one of them fold over sanwhich bags. pic wise that should help determine how much is there.

i just got some stuff that looks alot like that stuff its really lite stuff. an ounce looked so huge in a bag. the stuff that i have just by looks in a sandwich bag a quarter ounce looks like a half ounce but you can tell it doesnt weight right.

it looks like maybe about inbetween a quarter and a half ounce. im still not sure though its hard to tell the density of the nugs from pics. 120 seems kinda expencive but it looks like some good stuff so its probably worth it. id rather pay a little more for some good quality potent stuff then midgrade stuff for cheap anyday.

 

it looks like really good stuff, and thats about as full a bag as i'd expect for the money, but the buds look really light and fluffy....honestly i'd expect that for a bit less....it looks like about a quarter, and i dunno, but 100 for a quarter is tough enough, even for really good nugs....but 120.....i dunno....seems a bit pricey to me. you likely got fleeced for being new to purchasing, but its not THAT huge a difference compared to what i'd >GUESS< it should cost (without knowing the weight, or smoking it myself)

and if its your first time buying, you're probably relatively new to smoking? and if thats the case, that much shit that is that good will likely last you a LONG time

 

yeah the buds are definitely pretty fluffy. so the size of the bag might be a bit deceiving. so maybe a little short but like you said not too bad. that's reassuring.

yeah i have been smoking maybe once a week for the last 6 months or so. for all that money, i'm hoping this will last my buddies and i for quite a while.

 

im guessing 7-9 grams. 9g's would run me a hundred. don't worry about it, i've bought skimpier sacks.

 

lol yea thats what i was figureing it weighed. i figure that everyone when they were first starting out got skimpy bags. you just start to know what you should be getting for how ever much money. its definatly some good stuff so it should last you quite a while unless you like to smoke alot LOL.

BTW 40oz i was just wondering how old are you really? dont say like 10 like it says there lol i was just wondering.

thanks guys for helping a newbie out. so bottom line im gathering was it was probably a tit bit pricey, but all in all not a terrible deal considering he could have totally ripped me off given my experience and knowledge...i think we'll go back to this guy again for the next round which shouldnt be too soon.

 

yeah you didn't get ripped off, pretty big purchase for a first timer. i bought $30 1.7g my first time.

just read around these forums and you'll learn what prices should be. 1/4 oz = 7g which could run up to $120 if it's really good. then, once you know the prices, just make your dealer weigh it in front of you.

my biggest pet peeve is when weed is pre-bagged.

 

yeah it was definitely a big purchase which is why i was asking really. it was only that big because there are about 4 of us in on the deal, making it only 30$ for each of us. plus we liked the idea of making one larger deal than trying to hunt around for weed each week.

ill give an update on the smoke come friday...

 

i always prebag all the stuff that i sell to my friends and stuff. why is that ur pet peeve? you can always ask to weigh it again or something when they give it to you. i always make the right so i guess ive never worried about it like that before.

Looks stringy to me, but the quality looks good. The guy should have waited a lil bit before harvesting.

And since I dunno how much it weighs I cant tell you if $120 is a good deal or not. Looks very much like its under a half - and if thats the case, then no, not a good deal. But its your first buy, and its certainly a lot more (and better weed) than my first... so good job

 

Yeah my first buy was mids and even though it was exact weight it was still just mids. It took me a few months to find a guy with reasonably priced dank. Now I'm happy as a lark.
