I don't know if this will count but when you play the Dark Side of the moon album to the Wizard of Oz movie .... freakin' trippy. I don't know many people who haven't done it but if you haven't start the cd on the lion's 3rd roar and make sure the cd is repeating .... freakin' trippy
quote - woah woah woah........ I dont think that there ever was a motion picture called "Works" in which pink floyd had done a soundtrack to. As far as I know, that album was released by capital records in the early 80s as a compilation of pink floyd material my mistake.. i found that tape in my uncles collection a long time ago, and for some reason i remembered it being a soundtrack.. but compilation makes much more sense to me . Anyway i loved it then and i wish i still had the thing.
absolute alltime favorite is Pink Floyd's Echoes The Gathering has quite a few great psychedelic songs on the albums "How To Measure A Planet","If_Then_Else" and "Souvenirs" a few of my favorites: Great Ocean Road South American Ghost Ride Probably Built In The Fifties Amity Analog Park > Herbal movement (there's a piece of Alice In Wonderland at the end of Analog Park that fades perfectly into Herbal Movement)
One I have a special feeling for is Group 1850 - I put my hands on your shoulder. It's just fantastic and hilarious at the same time. I also love Fairport Convention's Sunshade/The lobster. And some Ultimate Spinach stuff, like (ballad of) The hip death goddess.
Yeah, and those dutch accent is just so great, I enjoy this song always when I'm stoned. I also like their album Paradise now very much, do you know it?
Many early Genesis songs are the weirdest songs. The album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway itself is all weird songs. Its very creative and psychedelic.
Laquer Head by Primus Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve The Muffin Man by Frank Zappa I'll think of more later
That is just psychadelic and weird in itself. "sitting on a cornflake waiting for the vine to come" "yellow matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye" "pornagraphic priestess boy you've been a naughty girl you let your knickers down" I need not go on. Of course after 67' their songs became trippy, but groovy. I love the Beatles. My dad made sure I grew up on them. Of course Dylan's song "Everybody must Get stoned" is kinda grippy trippy cool too. Peace and love everybody. I am the eggman...You are the eggmen...I am the walrus...goo goo ga joob
This is a good question- Lucy in the sky w/ Diamonds-Beatles Rounabout-Yes Strawberry Fields(forever)-Beatles Cocaine-Eric Clapton
Acctually its "sitting on a cornflake waiting for the VAN to come..... THat song is awesome though......I like what he says about it too... "Let the fucker's try and figure that one out"
