I don't like the looks of this. http://www.docuticker.com/?p=18223 Are they gearing up for Gathering '08?
don't worry . there's a worse weapon to come - a death ray gun that will boil you in your own skin . the military gets it this spring . we just do our peaceful thing and go camp in de woods as best we can .
did you read about the new top dog? seems he wants to take away the LEO's independence and have them answer to the forest service. not such a bad idea. http://www.peer.org/news/news_id.php?row_id=566 i'd personally would rather have them all packing tasers instead of guns at a gathering. it would be a big step towards a more peacable coexistence with the family. they could still do what they do at a gathering without either. i dream of one day being asked to borrow a drum by an LEO so he/she can sit down and jam a bit. would you loan your drum if it were asked of you? the death ray gun thing is some spooky shit. i think it works similar to a microwave, just maybe we can get our hands on a couple of dozen, convert them to solar/wind rechargable and use them to cook at the gathering. i definitely see a popcorner satelite happening with one of those.
youd rather have them packing tasers than guns?? WTF?? not me, id say there much less apt to use a gun than a taser.. giving a leo a taser for a toy is like givin a rainbow a big bag of zu zu's.. a buncha folks are going to get a taste...
i've experienced both unfortunately. i'll take the taser anyday over the bullet. though i can see your point. the thing with a taser is it's regulated like a firearm for LEO's. around here if a cop tasers someone they get benched just like in a shooting until an investigation into the incident is completed. most likely they will be packing both guns and tasers, since the rainbow family is such a violent group of machine gun toting fanatics, lmao. our weapons of mass luvinhuggins terrifies them.
Tasers blow... I could just imagine how badly one of those ones that shoot the prongs would hurt. I'll be extremely in discontent if I see anyone or I myself getting tased this year. I don't see why the forest service spends money on weapons and not the upkeep and care of the forest itself.... effing bastards
People have this misconception that tasers will not kill a person, so the LEOs will be more inclined to use them, but tasers have actually killed a lot of people. If you have any type of heart issue, then you could possible die.
And the most dangerous thing an LEO could do with a Taser at a Gathering would be to start a riot. They'd LOVE to start a riot.
a riot of discontent will self-justify the authoritians - who are losing , desparate , who make war on their own people ...
all the more reason to work harder to be even more peacable towards the LEO's and do our best to react in a manner totally inconsistent with the outcome they expect to provoke. this may very well be what they intend to do with the tasers. they've been trying to find a way to start an incident for decades. there is plenty of technology within reach of the average person these days. while the average rainbow isn't too cool with cameras and video equipment around, it isn't a bad idea to at least have plenty of ability available to record LEO misconduct. the hardest part is getting the video back to babylon and sharing it with the world. i'm sure there are many in the family that can't make it to the gathering that would love to volunteer to send the information to the right people over the internet. on another note. tasers are now standard issue equipment for most LEO agencies, from big city to "mayberry" departments. the forest service is actually behind most government agencies and "mayberry" in receiving them. with the added workload from homestead security and budget cuts, they're being spread out pretty thin. maybe if we're lucky they'll evaporate in our world.
I have a Camcorder and I am thinking of bringing it just to go on Police Watch. Why is it hard? Do they actually take your footage away in America?
if given the chance i'm sure they would take it. getting it out in a time frame of 12-24 hours would be best. it would most likely have to be done on a satelite link due to lack of cellular signals. the faster it hits the internet, on as many sites as possible, the better.
I've been Tasered didn't much care for it (kinda like pissin on an electric fence) I got Tasered maced and tased again in the back of the squad car in Piedmont Alabama a few years back and if i ever run across that pig again well lets just say he's gonna have one hellluva headache the next morning.and before anybody starts cussin Bubba this and Bubba that the Damn cop was from NY
12/20/2007 10:42 PM ID: 67260 New Orleans Protesters Gassed and Tasered Opposing Housing Destruction Protesters complaining about HUD plans to knock down rows of low income public housing, some damaged by Katrina, were gassed with a chemical and Tasered when they protested at a council meeting in City Hall. They called the meeting a rubber stamp. The protesters say the mixed income housing will displace the poor blacks who make up the majority of the residents. Hud calls the housing a failed public housing experiment. Activists say the destruction is callous and is malicious discrimination. The New Orleans Field Office of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, said the apartment buildings should be prized because they are sturdy and well-built. The City Council must approve the demolition under the city charter.
News :: Housing/Urban Issues/Gentrification Youtube: Bork Tasered, hospitalized after leading attempt to storm New Orleans City Hall Author * Luke Date Created * 20 Dec 2007 * More details... Date Edited * 20 Dec 2007 08:51:32 PM License public domainThis work is in the public domain part1 www.youtube.com/watch part2 www.youtube.com/watch Former MAYDAY DC (Now MAYDAY NOLA) activist Jamie "Bork" was taken to the hospital on Dec 20,the day after being arrested on bogus felonies for stopping demolition at BW Cooper in New Orleans. She was in the front as a crowd forced open the gates at City Hall in New Orleans, where the council later voted unanimously to approve all the planned demolitions. It began when City Hall, which seats 300, was filled with people coming to opposed demolition of publiuc housing in New Orleans, just like we do in DC when mass gentrification projects are proposed. When capacity was reached, the gates were slammed in the face of the public-and the battle began as residents reinforced by activists from all over the US began shaking the gate. Soon, the gate was pulled open-and Bork instantly moved in, with the crowd following in an attempt to force City Hall to hear the overwhelming voice of community opposition to demolition. At this point, the cops opened fire with big pepper sprayers and with Tasers, and on CNN you could see someone resembling Bork being dragged away by cops. It is being reported(and shown on youtube) that due to injuries inflicted by cops she had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Inforshop and the "Katrinaresponse" listserv are specifically reporting that Bork was hit by Taser fire. It is unknown from available reports at this time how much the deadly X-26 model Taser may contributed to her injuries, of if pepper spray again aggravated her asthma. Sickeneingly, the council decided after slamming gates in peoples faces and the infliction of numerous personal injuries to turn around and approve demolition by a unanimous vote. Now only direct action and meeting force with force offers any chance of either stopping demolition or forcing one-for-one replacement of every unit of affordable housing demolished. it was ion New Orleans that a Hope 6 project once was forced to offer all former tenants brand new units at their old rents, so this possibility should not be dismissed. Otherwise, we are looking at the next step in the armed post-Katrina removal of poor African-Americans from New Orleans, in scenes that look like something out of Darfur or even that scene from The Killing Fields where the capital of Cambodia was emptied by force by the Khmer Rouge and everyone is marched down the highway. In Cambodia the march of course was to death camps, here it is to homelessness, often with the same result. Already homelessness has doubled, as have rents, in New Orleans. Are we next in line in DC? Already Arthur Capper and other projects in Southeast have been destroyed, and a developer was just chosen for a New orleans style demolition and redevelopment of Sursum Corda and Temple Courts. Like in New Orleans, this will include only a small number of fully subsidized housing units, with the rest being marker rate or fully subsidized. That's what they have in mind for New Orleans-and what they intend next for us, then for every city in the US-ALL of them!
