so, lets start off by saying my roommate and i dont get along great. not complete hatred, but certainly not friends with open lines of communication. thankfully my boyfrien dlives with us too so he sort of handles being the midpoint. anyway, her room reeks of stale sweat. when her door is open, so does the hallway that connects our two rooms with the rest of the house. shes going to be gone tomorrow night til after new years. are there any good products or things you know of to get the smell of something gross like that out of a room? i mean, i know its not a permanent solution, but i dont want the house stinking while shes gone yknow? i honestly cant think o fany nice way to tell her she smells of stale sweat constantly, and saying it meanly will only worsen things at this point. but i cant even stand being in the same room as her some days because even she smell sof the stale sweat. guh.
Why don't you just buy her some cheap beauty pack(soap and deodarant type pf thing) and give it to her as a Christmas present. I know you don't like her but a couple of dollars would be a small price to pay to get rid of the stench. Or some essential oils and an oil-burner for her room and the hallway. A little less obvious maybe but just as effective.
my 'advise' is to avoid having roommates entirely at all. any way you possibly can. unless their companay is both gratifying and rewarding. part of my belief that we live under a form of tyranny remains the inablity to avoid the neccessity of them. i have precisely one. of the other primary physical gender from myself. something in my younger days i would have prefered to have happen in my much younger days. to have run its course and be now the happy hermit the culture i'm surrounded by conspires against in infinite and utterly unneccessary and inexcusable ways. not that i'm in any way unappreciative of the tangable gratifications that enable this very mode of converse, yet far greater have i known in complete and unmitigated solitude. =^^= .../\...
i moved into my bf's house (that we rent) ysee, and its a 3 1/2 beddroom house that costs too much for us to afford on our own. the housing has gone nuts lately in this city so moving would be more expensive even if it was to a decent one or two bedroom place. as to the other suggestions... most other scents (ie oils) give me nasty headaches too. im rather scent-sensitive/allergic. and im fairly certain her room smells like that because, well, she sweats and then doesnt wash her clothes, just rewears them which makes the sweat stale and smell profusely
eww. i'd be spraying febreze like crazy. the air effects are good, i get headaches from heavy smelling stuff, and it doesnt give me headaches. http://www.febreze.com/en_CA/febreze/aireffects.do;jsessionid=3AF1C7B4049D0D5D619DB4F36DC1A702
Incense? I think her stench is the least of your problems with her though. How long until her lease is up?
throw her in a god damn shower, with all her clothes lock the door from the outside and tell her she's not coming out until everythign is clean
incense gives me a headache.. scent allergic here we havent got a lease, just rent from an agency with all our 3 names as renters. shes here til at least april, cuz of school. then shell be back in bc for the summer, but she may wanna move in again next school year (ill be working but my bf will be working on his degree still) also... she used up almostm all of my pads. i bought a bag of 16 like two months ago and ive only used 4, there was only 1 left today when i went in there and now i have to travel two hours north tomorrow to see my grandparents and picking more up is going to be a huge fucking pain. fuck. i shut the box of my period stuff and put a sticky on it saying blahblah's period stuff. box already had my name on it, but now its more obvious. fucking fucker fuck
