So, I am moving from NJ (where I have lived my entire life) to SC in January for a guy. We have "officially" been dating for a little over 6 months, but have known each other since high school. We had a few common friends in high school but never really "clicked" with one another like we do now. He did not live in SC for the past 6 months, he lived in VA which wasn't so bad of a drive.... long, but well worth it. Now the drive from NJ to SC is just ridiculous and needs to change. So it's either this or him and I have to end which i don't see being an option here. I have such a feeling that this is it, that he is it and I am pretty confident on this move. My job, that I have been with for 2 years is willing to transfer me to SC, so that will remain the same. I will be moving out of my parents house and into our very own apartment. I am so excited. I am 24 years old and I feel that this is the right thing to do.

    Any advice? suggestions? experiences?

Only you can have a clue whether it is the right move, and even then you could guess wrong. If you have a loving, honest, open, drama-free relationship, and you think that you would be happiest with him, then go for it. If you have less than that, I would reconsider. Moving is a big decision, which, I'm sure, is why you posted this in the first place. If you get down there and break up in a few months, or perhaps even worse, after a year or two, you are going to feel like you left your whole life behind in NJ and ended up with nothing. I wish I could say go for it, but I feel like you have to have some doubts or else you wouldn't have posted. What gives you pause?

I'm just looking for any advice.... I feel this is right and I just want to talk about it.... everyone around me seems to think that it's impossible to do this but i definitely don't.

It's definitely possible. If you love each other, anything is possible. People are probably reacting like that because it is such a big decision, and they don't want to see you relocate your entire life for a guy only for it not to work out as flawlessly as planned. Rest assured though, it's definitely possible if the right people are involved.

I am happy to report, I am now living in SC with my boyfriend. We are happy and just adopted a 9 week old puppy from the local humane society. Life is good.
