Basicaly if you cover your food and utilities then it's cool.

We do prefer folks who like farms, and communal living, and in march the rooms would have to be available to farm workers. Oh yeah, and we ARE hippies.

Only early risers and sober folks.

    Just trying to help.

    a few questions.
    just curious,
come spring can ya stay on an work, or do you just gotta leave an make room for the hired hands?

also if you can stay on,what are your wages come spring ?
what kind of crops will you be raising and what farming style do you utilize?

where in colorado are you located?

The rooms are for farm hands, but if one wanted to farm one could apply for residency. We are an organic farm and located in the southwest.

Wages are commiserate with experience, and or course whether you do as the farm needs or just wander around the farm claiming to work.

Of course i was just tryin to help. I heard a few folks who said they wanted to live communally for the winter, so I offered.

Oh yeah, and we grow 'most everything. 25 acres of fruit, 5 acres of veg.

i'm an old farm hand and could be very interested . in the fall i work here on the family farm helping with the corn/soybean harvest . this year tho i experimented on my own with growing amaranth . today i'll shake out the seedheads that have been drying in the shed . it's actually quite a delicious food . i also grew dry beans of three heirloom native varieties . winter food was on my mind . colorado has been too . i was in that area again last summer and had a great time meeting people throught the southwest and central as i tripped about on the ranbo trail .

got some contact info ? how do you want to do this ?

well i can't post to your pms, cause of some new member clause (fironic cause i was a member before under a different user name) so i will have to reply to you all here. Yes i can be reached at gmail, and yes i am the same patch from tgcounsel and to lonewolf...
    do i already know you?

In november the rooms were open for temporary stays at the cost of utilities and food and all combined. Our estimate was $500 for a month for laundryphonefoodheatwaterinternetetc.

In january we have the last apartment occupied. There are still three dorm rooms available, but they will be for crew in the spring. If you want to be on the crew you would get first consideration over temporary renters.

It's a real farm with real rules. Folks who pass orientations will get a $tipend. Folks who don't like our farm will be promptly assisted in finding a destination.

    Lovin all

I'm a single mom, could REALLY use the room if theres any left. We're in Oregon right now and would like to come back in spring but could swing it if you have space.

Duma ask what do we do. Did I not mention that we are the oldest organic farm in colorado? Located in paonia (considered one of the top 10 places in the USA to live).

$500.00 isn’t very cheap you are dealing with a bunch of hippies here. For $500.00 mouth hippies can live very well and not have to be early risers and sober.

Early risers and sober that sounds like a half way house those are usually free.
