1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

What I really liked about Donnie D. was the humanity of the family, the conversations they had and how they had them. And the ideas they had on hypocrisy and the way schools work and society in general with brainwashing etc were not new but very well put together, I think.

2001, on the other hand is something, wow. But BacktotheLab, did you see Koyaanisqatsi?

i saw... the third? The N, amazing, really crazy visuals.
Naqoyqatsi-- took too long to make though, but was good none the less.
But, in comparison to 2001, it's down in the dirt(no offense)
Stanley kubrick is a genius, what he did with 2001 is mind blowing, even by today's standards, even by tomorrow's standards.

The last one is regarded as the worst of the three by www.imdb.com and usually I agree with them. So I still advice you to get your hands on koyaanisqatsi.
