well there are 4,981,854 in the u.s. who share the first name my parents of this life inflicted me with (the second most common in the entire friggin country, tnx a lot), but only 728 who spell their last name the same way. and exactly 12 who have and spell the same way both.

(i wish it would give me a hint as to who the other 11 are, other then obviously their names. i rather suspect i'm related to at least two of them. i'm pretty sure there's one at woods hole oceanographic, and another who teaches economics in some eastern u.s. university. i've read some of the latter and think he's mostly full of you know what. the othere's somewhat interesting. oh i think the guy who started putting used french fry grease in dieself fuel tanks is/was one of them, and there's an architect of somesort out here in california, who isn't me, who is also. i don't THINK i'm related to those last two, but then i've never personally face to face met ANY of my paternal side relatives other then my father himself. my mom's relatives i've met a few of, though not more then a very few times, but none of my dad's ever.)

as for my multi-lifetime name themnax of lananara there were of course zero found, which is rather a relief.

(i'd also be a HELL OF A LOT more interested in how many share my views on a lot of things then duplicates of "my" name.)

My daughters boyfriend came up with 0 for both his first and last names! He has a BIG family, mostly in the US, so I know there are a bunch with his last name.
