I've had an interesting thought. We all know the 3 vices, sex, money and drugs, that are considered trouble. It seems the 'establishment' wants to take money out of the 3 vices and make it noble. But they want to keep sex and drugs inside. Meanwhile it seems the leftists want to take sex and drugs out of the three vices and make them noble. But to keep money in. What do you think?
Ummm, Huh? I'm sorry, you will have to elaborate on that as I am old and it is past my bedtime, Thanks, Ruby
Leftists openly love sex and drugs, but keep their love of money secretive. The establishment openly loves money, but keeps their love of sex and drugs secret. Every just needs to admit we're all greedy, horny, druggie miscreants.
I can't masturbate too much anymore. Got to satisfy the wife. I agree best if all 3 vices come out of the closet.
SEx- sex is natural and none of us would be here if it wasn't for sex. Drugs- drugs have their place in soceity in hospitals and for self improvement. Money- it's not money that is evil, it's the love of money that is evil ..GOD is real and I belive HE holds us accountable for our actions..putting your faith in something like money is like eating a dirt sandwhich, it leaves a lot to be desired. Anything/one you put before or love more that GOD is evil. People who puts a bad reputaion becuse someone doesn't agree with you is evil. Lying about who and what you are is evil. Deciving others in the name of GOD or Buddha ..you will surly feel the depts of agony and degradation. To love an inanimate object to the point of obsession will change your aura and block your chakras. You cut yourself from the scorce when you produce negitivity into the universe. To stumble one perpously as a sceam against them, will get you three thousand yrs of torment in the mines in the afterlife. WE are all slaves to something, our habits our attitudes, our tremendous egos. Ego's job is to distroy the body. We were created to be slaves, to work the mines for the Neflin.. Shameless
The theory is good, but the establishment is different from the people who keep it going each day. A lot of the people who are part of the establishment are very open with their love for sex. Unless, ofcourse, when you say "establishment" you're only talking about the big-wigs, and not about the minor individuals who keep it ticking, then, yeah, most are trying to hide anything incriminating to the public. Lodui - I guess you could say that, but I think most hippies genuinely don't feel the need for money. Most hippies who don't need jack shit to live are the ones who have done a lot of acid (it will make you hate cash). There are many, many people out there like me who genuinely don't desire much money. There aren't very many that don't desire money or things at all, but those people who geniunely don't at all, they're the luckiest of all. I'm making $2,100 dollars a month, which is not much at all, but I have my 2 room apartment, I have my guitars, my digital piano, my television, basic cable, and most of all, many, many good people around me all day, which is all I need. Beyond that, I don't desire purchasing power. I wouldn't ever do anything crooked or immoral to obtain a peice of green paper. Money means as much to me as a roof over my head, food to eat, and minimal expenses for my own pleasures, it means nothing to me to any further extent. Who really needs heaps of money? I guess traveling to Europe or spending money on a $1,000 remote control for one's $10,000 television is something one does with millions of dollars. Having money would be good, but only if it's going to be given to me. I'm not going to work 15 hour days or play the corperate sleeze game to scheme my 'esteemed colleagues' out of their money to get my own. My dad is and always was a businessman, since he got out of WashU with his B.M.A, and I can't count how many times he's been screwed by his "friends" in the business since I've been alive. He was, at one point, Vice President of C.Tech (a cable company in America), so I'm sure that he did his own fair share of life ruining. Money really can do some strange things to people, I guess drugs and prolonged periods of promiscuity can also do some really strange things to people too, though. Moral of the story: Don't chase money, and if you're going to, don't do anything immoral to get it. Sometimes what's truely important in life becomes unclear when you have dollar bills in your eyes. Meaningless sex can really fuck a person up for a while. Atleast, it did for me ( I just can't do that stuff anymore). And coke or heroine? Well, obviously they can do some fucked up shit to a person too. I can't believe I ever did coke, but hey, I won't judge those who do it; it's not my choice drug, but that's your thing. I used to get fucked up on all kinds of stuff whenever it was around. I just leveled out somehow and couldn't take the drugs anymore. Now I smoke bud, and on a very rare occasion I'll take some shrooms or syd, but I'm pretty much burnt out anything but Marijuana. I can't even drink anymore. I think the whole decadence, non-stop party thing burns most people out,...this is how you get your Robert Plant solo album!
Aye, I believe that too. I think that is the most well put thing I've ever read on the subject. I love you Heifer!
Yeah, money can be a troublesome issue. It is becoming an issue in my family. Most of my relatives have become professionals, and are rising up in income. I seems to be drifting towards the arts and avant garde stuff. Which mean, unless I get very lucky, I won't be making big bucks. It seems the more their income rises, the more they look down on me. It is true some of them offer to help out with money, but they tend to look down on me as a 'child' since I'm not making big bucks. Which gets more disagreeable the older I get. The point is, money is causing me to drift away from my family. I can see how leftists (and hippies) can see money as a vice. It sure makes alot of trouble. It's a pity, though, money can be fun.
Money is just a tool to get the comforts you desire.. it's a means, a bartering chip.. it holds no special powers.. mans minds turn it into the most important thing, their greed and hunger for power..they are the dark ones that were cast from the source, their desendance so to speak are the power/war mongers..money is just a representation of what mortal man calls power.. Shameless
Money, get away. Get a good job with good pay and you’re okay. Money, it’s a gas. Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash. New car, caviar, four star daydream, Think I’ll buy me a football team. Money, get back. I’m all right jack keep your hands off of my stack. Money, it’s a hit. Don’t give me that do goody good bullshit. I’m in the high-fidelity first class traveling set And I think I need a lear jet. Money, it’s a crime. Share it fairly but don’t take a slice of my pie. Money, so they say Is the root of all evil today. But if you ask for a raise it’s no surprise that they’re Giving none away. -pink floyd
