Boycott China and the Olympics!

I'll boycott them based on all of the faulty products / recalls alone.

 

Our government and business leaders are selling us out to China. Now that the corporations (which own our government) are multi-national, they have no loyalty to any country, only big money.

I'll pay extra for locally produced goods when I can. It might not be so good for the bank account, but it's good for the karma.

 

This week, someone forwarded me a PETA video documenting horrific cruelty to cats and dogs in China...
I decided that the best way to gain awareness for the issue was to create a sort of "poll petition" on the subject.

Unions can be wasteful, this is true, there's an extra layer of beurocracy in the system, but I think it's a necessary evil, because it's important to have a mechanism in place to protect the best interests of the workers. They should get a piece of the pie for what they produce. Otherwise it's the elite, the managers, financiers, and owners of the corporations who take all the profit for themselves, and give the workers nothing.

 

And good for the garbage men in New York. It's a shitty job, those guys should make the bucks. And if you want to make the bucks, you can do it too.

 

As I said in the other China bashing posts,how arrogant of every one to dismiss the crimes of Gitmo,waterboard torture and other forms.The nation of Iraq is in chaos and civil war at any moment because of you.The American Indian, their culture destroyed and you destroyed their livelyhood, the buffalo, almost in a month.What about that PETA? China has a christain form of faith, all it's own and buddists,muslims,and even jews.You need to travel and see the world and not depend on your fuckin' T.V. for your information.So quit acting like world terrorists,leave other countries to their ways of happiness and China has been too long kicked around by foreigners.

 

Some of us don't watch the fuckin' T.V. Some of us don't use broad statements to descibe other countries even if we don't understand the way their citizens are treated. Some of us don't judge entire groups of people. And some of us have spent many years in many Asian countries and know how things are.

And then there's me, who makes jokes about the Chinese eventualy owning the United State, since they bought a lot of bonds to finance our President Chimp's immoral war. All the while incorrectly assuming that everyone has a fuckin' sense of humor.

Currently China supports the Military Junta running Burma (Myanmar). That junta is currently murdering peace loving Buddhist monks and citizens who are protesting against the Burmese gov't.
Currently The U.S. supports the government it installed in Iraq by invasion,that junta is currently murdering peace loving Muslims and citizens who oppose the U.S. control of their country.


China is also planning on taking back Taiwan as soon as it feels it can do so without too much hindrance.
China is fed up with Chinese killing other Chinese, Taiwan will come back to China when it is broke.And that's anyday now.

China OWNS so much US debt and has such a huge amount of $US on hand, it can do great harm to the US should it choose.

This is true. China wouldn't be manufacturing toxic products for the western market if it weren't for corrupt US manufacturers.

Now we find we are exposing our children to asbestos through the toys we are purchasing. The only way to impact the US manufacurers is to refuse to purchase their goods, and China gets caught in the middle. But they should have considered that. They've bought into rampant capitalist corruption.

 

Everytime you chow down on a Big Mac or drink Lite Beer your sucking down a toxic product,the food is so full of chemicals,and remember the cheap crap Japan sold the world in the 50's 60's and 70's? Why didn't anyone bitch back then?

 

America is exporting their fucking war machines to all countries i think this nike shoes and
toys are less harmful than F-16 and guns and tanks.I wonder why lots of people defend America and still are you not globalized and think of a world boundary less and still thinking only the benefits of America. Olympic is a symbol of brotherhood and we should not boycott it.If you people think of boycotting china for its agression then you should boycott america too it kills more people than any nation

 

I boycott any industry that does not respect the consumer. You sure have your shorts in bunch over the Olympics. We boycotted while the Russians were in Afghanastan. Why not now?

Brotherhood, BS. The Olympics is all about money. And that's why I will boycott it and have no problem boycotting it. That's why locations spend millions lobbying to get it located in their areas.

Want to feed my kids and my pets poison, don't count on me spending my money in your country.

I wish the rest of the world would boycott our crap corporations.

 

They weren't laced with lead and asbestos. They may have been cheap but they weren't toxic and backed by rich US corporations.

well my mum's on the paralympic games and we're going to china this september.
i perfectly know all problems sorted by pollution and child-labour and i'm very worried about it.
i'm sure i won't buy anything like souveniers or that kind of crap.
but i also know that in that period, journalists from all over the world can make interviews to chinese people or the other athletes in complete freedom, so if there are problems, all the world will know about them.
so let's see how things are going to be!
