So, i have been wanting to experiment with shrooms VERY badly...only problem is my girlfriend doesn't want me to. Also there is this worry deep down inside of me that if i buy shrooms from someone, i would probably ask my brother to get them for me...and i wouldn't know if he knows the person, plus he kinda doesnt wanna do them himself, so i don't know if he would get me some. ANYWAY, i was wondering i recently read you can get some bad shrooms ,that would screw up your body..like cause liver failure or poisoning etc. is it really easy to decide which is psychedelic...or liver-failure causing? and is it a "trustable" concept, as far as buying shrooms goes..i mean can they just scrape some shit they found in their backyard and it turns out to be liver-failure causing....sorry if i rambled...thanks everybody
The best answer is that as with any drug, you should have done enough research to reconize real from the fake. Find a friend who has take shrooms before and have him help you. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to study the posion mushes in your area. most likely if someone is selling you shrooms, they are other real or just wont do anything at all. Why the fuck would some one sell you shrooms that are going to kill you. Its probably happened before but chances are low.
Yeah man, your best bet is to go through someone who's done them. And if your girlfriend tries to keep you from doing something you want to do, why are you with her anyway man?
Or, you might want to listen to the girlfriend. Stay focused on the important things in your life right now. If you're still together when you're 20ish, maybe you can consider it again. Don't get me wrong, I believe that everyone should witness a psychedelic experience some time in his life, but I also think that there's a time and place for everything.
i know,i love my girlfriend really more than anything..and have been doing pretty good on my studies..so i hope to do that but i think it'll help me learn something and help appreciate life and other things more, and i plan to do acid some day soon, figured id try shrooms first just because they spoke to me before acid..if u know wht i mean...well, i'll see..
Check out erowid's Mushroom vault. They have pictures of every type of psilocybin mushrooms. I don't know much about buying shrooms. I live in southern Louisiana and grew up surrounded by cow pastures so I always did my own picking. We have Psilocybe cubensis growing naturally here.

Well I agree with theguitarman's post. But I think JC's goes to far. If OP decides to do something that's a terrible idea (rob a bank?), she should step in and talk some sense into him. IMO, of course.
