Yeah, always; well, not every primary... I have to say that I oftentimes wonder if it really matters. (other than "bitching rights")... Gotta add that livin' in Florida makes it alot more of a true concern as to whether a persons vote is counted or not eh????--------- squid

    Not worth it.
Sure if everyone thought that then anyone would get voted in.. but enough people bother to vote to make my vote pointless.. whether i vote or not.

I don't vote in a system I don't support. Besides that, outside of local politics, the voting system isn't very effective. In addition I have no desire to judge someone via jury duty, so you know, works out better for me.

It's a two party system... not much to choose from, besides the T.V. always seems to know who is going to win before hand so it doesn't really seem to matter.

No, I don't vote. I see no point because politics are a sham anyway.

no but i havent had the chance yet, but i probably wont come 2008.. i havent even bothered registering to vote. the problem is, an effective number of people probably do the same, and not vote either. ..its possible anyway.

Have you guys heard of Ron Paul? Like half of the people in here said they don't vote. If you applied that to the general population, then we could actually make a difference. You've got all these people saying "uhh, my vote doesn't matter", well when there are 10 million people saying that, then that's a real problem.

i think he means there are enough people not voting to make a difference.
my problem is though i dont really know who to trust when it comes to the gov't. u get all these stories bent out of line, the media misconstrues everything that is said. even if they dont, they're made out to. so you can't win. its shitty, really.

Speaking about media, Fox in America had a count down to when bush would win telling the public who has already won before the votes came out, then there is this big scandal about Bush cheating to win and all that jazz.

Here in Aus the media still tells you who will win but they use the qualifier "likely" but none the less they're still right, sky news in Aus which is run by Fox... I think Rupert has some insider info.

After all that, even if it is still 'fair' who do i get to choose from? TWO parties i mean whats the point? It creates an illusion of democracy, because everyone votes but the problem is you have to choose between 'a giant douche' or a 'turd sandwhich'. So really what is the point?

Personally i think voting third party is the only voting option.

Yes. However being in Florida and being registered as a green I can't vote in the primary and the votes don't matter anyways.

Yes I vote all the time. It can only help. I read the issues and what not and then make a desicion. It cant hurt anything to vote for what you believe in.
