Well for starters I took lsd for the first time last saturday, and although the trip ( 2 blotters ) didn't come off as mind blowing/eppiphone inducing sort of trip I have noticed a great change in my self confidence in the last few days. I don't feel nearly as awkward in a conversation with somone I don't know as I did before. At first I thought it was just me thinking it was the lsd having a positive impact on me as in a placebo sort of feeling< but as time goes on it really does feel like it helped me out.

I guess I'm not asking for anything with any of this, just your thoughts.

ya, I definitely felt generally different after the first time I took acid. Its hard to explain, but I feel like I have a better understanding of situations, and I can see things in my mind far clearer than before. theres a reason this is the most dangerous chemical in the world. its long term benefits have been noted since the first usage.

    ya it does

I had this pecuilar quality where like... I was extremely hyper sensitive to all the changes in myself so after acid, even though there wasnt a HUGE difference I was still very sensitive to the highly subtle changes, was very paranoid about them

but then when I went out and interacted with people... that was better then its ever been before. So I had to conclude these changes were just adapting and coming more to terms with myself.

I really need to stop paying attention to the subtle changes and freaking out about them though.

when you mention the words "hyper aware". it makes me think about how now i cant eat lollies things like that, cause its like it makes me feel really strange in the head.
like im allergic to them or somthing, and never have been before.
other foods aswell. whether its placebo or what im not sure.
but has anyone else noticed anything like that?

subtle changes are good. lots of subtle changes and new thoughts and understandings are what makes acid so amazing.

yes, my diet changed quite a bit after acid.
I read on this site, this woman was talking about how you should develop a perception to "sense the aura of food". I think something like that has sort of happened. I don't follow any guideline really. But I'm very specific and picky about various foods. I really sit and ponder about eating something before I eat it.

Same same. Though it wasnt really after taking acid, I just became very aware of what I eat at about 19. I've been vegetarian for just under 2 years now, not vegan though I was for awhile. All kinds of food really should be avoided to keep mental equilibrium balanced, but it's subtle so people dont generally notice how much food is actually affecting them in totality. Stuff like spicey food, for example. Not good! Nor is bitter or food that is too sweet. But like I said, subtle. The middle are of the body already generates enough warmth

I do not eat gluten or anything from a cow. I could bring up many studies which point to the fact that gluten and cow milk and beef are very bad. I also do not eat anything preserved with nitrates/trites such as cold cuts. I wont drink soda or similarly pure sugar items, in fact I try to stay away from extracted sugar all together. Some of my favorite food items are silk brand soymilk with enhanced omega 3s, dark green leafy or grassy plants, milky white natural honey for sweetening purposes, walnuts and almonds, and a variety of seeds such as pumpkin, sunflower, flax etc. I make crusts and breads out of seeds and nuts instead of grains. My diet consists of mostly plants. I make leaf and fruit smoothies once a day for lunch. I drink enough so that my urine is always clear. I eat within 15 minutes of awaking, and I refrain from drinking for one hour after eating. I refrain from eating for 15 minutes after drinking. I try to eat once every 2 hours. When I exercise or work out, I eat a high protein meal within 15 minutes of finishing the workout. I choose organic foods over conventional when at all possible. I make sure to fully enjoy all of my meals and beverages. I am able to tell what my body is asking for; for instance, if my body is in need of glucose, I am groggy so I make a sweet honey seed and nut cluster. If I am lethargic and weak I serve myself with proteins. If my mind seems to be struggling to stay aware I eat fruit. If I ever feel at the least bit uneasy or any discomfort at all internally (what most people would call a minor sickness/illness) I only drink soymilk. I take 125mg of vitamin C every 6 hours. You are what you eat, and you must read every nutritional label to ensure that you are putting the proper nutrients in your body. A healthy functioning body definately improves the mind. They are attached. It is very difficult to break out of mental slavery if your mind is slow from eating burgers and drinking beer everyday. I also make sure never to feel angry and try my best to avoid negative energy all together.

Beer and soda are the two unhealthy products I consume without care actually, I absolutley love soda (with an unusual passions lol) and beer I will drink every once in a while. Havent even had a beer in quite some time now actually. But yea soda I drink every weekend without fail, not during the week however. I can no longer drive due to parole issues but whenever I can make it happen I get the Silk Soy milk for my son, being that he's 2 years old and drinks milk several times a day. But its not always in my power to choose so sometimes I have to give him regular milk. Oh well. Typically I only eat once a day, at lunch time. I dont eat breakfast and I dont eat dinner. I cook every night for my son, lots of veggies and potatos and enough bread and fruit for desert but I generally dont eat more than once. If I dont have time for lunch I will eat dinner. Usually I fast when I can manage for 2 days, strictly staying with orange juice and thats when I practice heavier yoga. -

You guys should take the diet stuff to the "You Are What You Eat" class where we discuss these dietary matters in detail. :)

As far as personality changing after LSD sessions, esp. the first heavy ones, yeah, that's an established fact.

Your ego undergoes close examination by your soul during the peak acid experience. It's usually found wanting, and the program gets altered. See it's not your DNA that undergoes mutation, it's you mind that mutates into a higher form. Less full of ego, self-doubt, more determined to make use of this lifetime.

Of course if you manage to get the REAL TRIP experience, you will SEE REALITY, and THAT experience of complete EGOLESSNESS, ONENESS with all is something NEVER FORGOTTEN by your innermost being.

And THAT is what truly changes you forever...

It IS the enlightenment sought by mystics for ages - however brief it may be.

Buddhism teaches that enlightenment can come at any time, and may be far shorter than the peak acid experience (it could last just a moment). So what we experience during the trip is more intense and leaves more of a lasting impression than most other enlightenment experiences.

Your right Skip, enlightenment according to Buddha, the realm of the Tathagata's, is the perfect, unchangeable Nothingness which, supposedly, is our true essence, our natural source. The Nothingness creates our dualistic Beingness, and following the light back to it's source brings about an omniscient viewpoint. The 3rd eye as we were saying in another thread.
Just what we see when we get there cant really be explained, but surely we are all viewing the same thing at our selfless centers.
And it is truly amazing when moksha hits you, uninvited and without being prepared. I started crying at work the other night because of a sudden impact of expansion

Well if you eat good, you end up feeling MUCH better than you would if you had eaten a deepfried triple cheeseburger, which may or may not taste better than the healty meal. Eat whatever you think will be good for you, don't eat too much of one thing, the fresher the better. Every animal in the world follows these rules, an so will I.

And acid has been a godsend for me, although being so free in mind while so trapped physically is NOT fun. School is hurting me way too much and limiting my mind's potential.... So wait to drop until you are out of high school for your own sake. After you drop, you will feel 100% perfect when free, but high school and things similar to that (I.E. prison) will make you hate the bullshit there an unbelievable amount. At graduation I'm going to take my diploma with a hit of acid on my tongue.

Yeah it could spice things up a tad haha! I'm talkin if it was your first trip, then I know I would get incredibly pissed at how bad it is and how much they limit your freedom, although if it was a charge where I was really at fault, then I would accept it. Whereas with school, I don't agree with the government forcing every child to participate in an institution that is as confining and impersonal as the American school system. I know some will say I'm taking it for granted, and that isn't true, I'm glad about the little material I did learn there, despite how innefficient the whole process is. But if I had to choose in participating in 12 school years or a free childhood/ youth period, my choice is obvious, especially knowing now how terrible the schools really are. By the time you are in high school, people should start treating you more personally and with less blanket rules and blanket statements. The classes should be more like college courses, where you can miss class at your own risk, and you should have much more freedom in picking courses if you are an individual deemed capable of making desicions.

Damn I gotta stop ranting about school, its really been on my mind lately cuz I have nothing to entertain my mind at the moment haha

ill eat anything i want, as long as it doesnt make me feel strange.

animals are their to be eaten, and eating meat and drinking milk is healthy. any one who doesnt, honestly gives me the shits. thats just my honest opinion.

limiting yourself to just fucking vegetables is stupid. i coudlnt marry somone who was vegetarian, or be fucking friends with them i sware it angers me that much. its a fucking eating disorder, no differnt to any other, you fucking eat whatever thats life.
i know im gonna get the shit bitched about me for sayin that from all you vegetarians but whatever. maybe a closed minded view for somone who takes acid, but maybe not, but they are beign closed minded.

its like all the people who constantly are sipping water and taking drink bottles with them everywhere, its like their brain is telling them they fucked them selves up, and it needs to detox. thats just what vegetarians are like. and in ways its true

an obsession with being healthy can go overboard and become a true obsession, an actuall eating disorder i sware.

I've had quite alot of changes ever since my first hit of acid months ago. For one I completely stopped drinking alcohol after my second acid trip. I went out to the parties at my university while tripping, and got completely scared of alcohol. Everyone that was drunk while I was tripping looked like a useless being, quivering, self-deprived. I noticed the stupidity of the drunk conversations of everyone around me and those who talked to me. I really got scared, I felt like the only human in the world, and my mind told me alcohol is something I should stay away from. Needless to say I was quite a heavy drinker before acid, but I really do not miss it, as I feel something is keeping me away from it. I do smoke quite alot more weed now, to compensate at parties. I also had a sudden and gradual urge to read books. I've only read what I was assigned to for schoolwork before acid, now I am buying books left and right, especially sci-fi novels. So I feel that I've also changed for the better.

I eat meat, I just don't eat things that humans did not evolve into digesting properly. I will drink goat milk, because my ancestors did commonly. I don't believe anyone should eat white bread and I don't think grain products are important at all in a diet. It is a scientific fact that meat has 1/10th the energy to offer us as plants. Salmon is probably the best bet for meat. The only meat I really eat is chicken and seafood. If the govt told me that the largest food group was dog shit would I be close-minded not to eat it?

    Strange...

I tripped on Wednesday night, and I'm considering becoming a vegetarian. During my peak, I happened to look at a McDonalds chicken strips container on my dresser, and it really weirded me out. I started thinking of all the creatures that have died for my personal gain... and its just fucked up. And what have I really gained from eating all these animals? Nothing, except maybe some slightly clogged arteries.

I totally understand what you're saying about being aware of what you eat. Now, I really think about that shit before I eat something. Too much of the food I eat is just no good, and keeping a tighter grip on what goes in my body feels great. So I too am thinking about going vegetarian- at the very least just for a little while- I still love meats, and its gonna be hard to give them up, but its something Ive thought about and its definitely worth it to me. Eating meat has really started weighing on my conscience after that trip.

But back on topic, yeah, of course acid can change you. Id say overall it just keeps you in tune when you start to get out of tune with your surroundings, beliefs, and people. It dials your mind into territory its not used to going to- and since you're not used to it, it carries MUCH more weight, like Skip said. It has definitely changed my life for the better too :)
