does anyone elses nose run when they eat spicy food?

i just thought of it because i was eating really spicy nachos and sniffling up a storm. it happens when i eat too fast as well.

i've never seen this happen to anyone else...maybe i'm just weird.

god, if i ever get asked to a date at an indian restaurant, i'm fucked.

    Depends on how spicy.

When it's real spicy, everyone does. That's a natural reflex to spicy foods.

Hell, I've been in habanero eating contests and cried like a baby. Tears just pouring down my nose, nose running, cheeks bright pink.

    It's wonderful really.

The very nature of something being spicy stimulates the sinuses. Theres a more complicated answer, but it's basically the same thing except more complex.

Spice in foods evolved as a defense mechanism. We've just developed a taste for that.

    That sounds excellent.

You a fan of Ika? (squid) I think salmon might be my favorite. And then I wash it all down with some rice booze.

Lemme know how it goes. :D

Damn, that Tempura salmon and avocado thing would rock my world.

You can get pretty decent fish here, but it comes at a premium. I miss living by the coast.

Actually come to think of it, I think the crab (kani) might be my favorite. I feel cheapened when I get fake crab though. :D

be careful asking bird questions like that, he starts quivering, then he throws breakable items acros the room, and he often ends these episodes by kicking dogs and cats
